@@fg186stop the cap. Osimhen played well. He died score but he pressed defenders well, and was making defenders unstable. He was also holding ball very well. Though lookman goals weren't so good.but he tried his best. Aina, Calvin and ekong were all solid at the back. Stop trying to downplay them all the time. I was more impressed in today's game than the previous ones. The only players that didn't surprise me was zaidu and iwobi

Yeah, these highlights only show Nigeria's great work around the box, but we don't really see how amazing Nigeria were at the back. Just a great performance from them after a rough start to the tournament. They may edge Morocco for favorites now.

I can’t forget that fateful day back in 1984 same stadium when Cameroun defeated Nigeria in the final. I wept as a 12 year old then. Today’s victory is a consolation. Nigeria for the trophy 🎉

We must not forget to deeply appreciate the Nigerian captain Ekong and his defenders who were able to hold the Nigerian flag solid at the back. Can you imagine the Cameroon didnt have a Single Shot at goal for 100mins. Or did anyone see them shot at goal that i missed? That was so amazing. Viva forever Naija

Big Kudos to Lookman and Osimhen in the attack. Both of those guys really have a good cohesion and I particularly like Osimhen for not being selfish and looking for goals... If we continue playing like this, we might end up winning the AFCON 🇳🇬⚽🦅

I agree! Selfishness with the ball and underrating opponents till dying minutes had been some factors that we've battled with in the past. Exactly, about Osimhen's selfless contribution. That first goal was literally him. He won the ball and then willingly gave it to someone, not caring who the individual glory went to.

Cameroonian defenders tried. It’s not easy to match Osimeh tenacity and strength for good 90 minutes. That guy will keep charging on you. That’s what a striker should always do on defenders. Most times any striker that plays like that might not score but he will help open that defense for other attackers to score. Osimeh is making great sacrifice for the team and I can tell you vividly no defense in this competition will be able to hold super eagles down with that style of play.

The Nigerian defence was/is as solid as the Zuma and Olumo rocks combined. Our goalkeeper was practically on holiday for almost the entire duration of the match. The midfield? We really ready for the match! For Cameroon, I say congrats. At least you lost to your match, no be Cote D' Voire wey receive bulala from their juniors( just saying oo). Ghana collect too.

Cameroon absolutely dire, no creativity or urgency and poor defensive mistakes. Their defenders keep losing concentration and giving away balls under little pressure. To lose is one thing but 0 shots on target throughout 90 minutes is inexcusable for Cameroon. Nigeria looking really solid so far, despite the criticism of Peseiro I think his approach is spot on. The key to winning AFCON is to be solid defensively there is no need for flashy football, and Nigeria are looking rock solid at the back. If Nigeria can keep up its defence strong, they have an outside chance of making to the final.

I love my country, no matter difficulties were facing I'm still a citizen. All we need is to support the country and the team in prayer to go higher. I know whenever ever super eagles face a difficult country in football game that's when they wake up. Team work helps a lot yesterday, that's what the players need not selfishness like i want to show myself or do it alone. The goalkeeper replaced is zero performance, so early the two shoot out played didn't worth it at all. I pray the nwanbili recover fast to finish the game. Morocco played Tanzania and Zambia and DR Congo who together have just 1 AFCON title and are ranked far lower and have fewer AfCON appearances than the teams Nigeria faced Also Nigeria has played 1 more game than Morocco So you can’t compare the two. Wait till Morocco meets a cup contender like Nigeria/Senegal or even Cape Verde. Then we can actually evaluate that Moroccan defence.
