there were some rappers that took a different approach to rap music and used instruments and they did it in about 1992. They are called the beastie Boys. This guy's doing nothing new. he's skilled as fuck!

well i'm not sure how black rap fans are going to feel about cage's new direction. judging by the in store signing i saw today, i'm pretty sure that this change can work to cage's benefit as far as getting his name out there to a broader audience. once u win white people over, thats when ur record sales and concert ticket sales go up. this is a new cage, so we'll see how it works out for him. it's his choice to take his art in whatever direction he wants to take it.
