I just got my Budgie a new cage. It was a major upgrade. The old one was too small. It was what the pet store recommended. After I got him I found BirdTubers and learned it was way Too small so I ordered 32 in length double length flight cage. I filled it with new toys and perches and bowls. He is loving it. I got a boing and he loves flying into it and making it swing. He is having a ball. I also got a table top perch stand play ground and we are making a tree stand for him. He spends most of the day out in the house during the day.

Bird Tricks is bigger on buying birds whereas Marlene has more adopted birds and rescues (Which is my personal preference). There are so many young birds online for adoption. I saw 2 Grays on Craigslist in need of a new home (1 year old) a 3 year old Miligold Macaw, dozens of young rescue budgies from people getting them during the pandemic and quickly deciding that they are too much work. Personally I think that it is so important to adopt.

I'm sorry if I haven't watched some of your other videos its because I have been busy with my bird keeping her nice and cool because I live in Australia and right now its summer time and the 40°C days have been happening all week also not to mention my dogs had a huge fight and are injured well one of them has lots of chunks of fleash bitten off her her name is fiddy and she normally goes in her bathtub out the back to cool off but she hasent been able to due to the wound on her paw so she can't jump up into it so we have had to be keeping her cooled down with frozen toys from the freezer and frozen towels and blankets from the freezer

Instead of the metal do-hickies to hang toys i tied my toys up with jute. So on the toys like yours that have the big knot on them i pull the jute through the loop that knot makes and then tie it on the cages of my two parrots.
