A little thing to know is that if you move while charging collapse it actually slows it down by a few percent, so if you want to be very optimal with your collapse rotation its a thing to be considered

This is a great guide! One thing, and you may wish to test this. Cascade seems to be either bugged or not working as listed. Using Cag as the example, her Mimic Doll and Alaxandria skills are about 30s Cooldowns with no assistance. With Maxed Cascade and hitting stuff multiple times over, the CDs for them only go down to about 27-28s. Doesn't seem worth it unless I'm looking into the skill wrong. I've also tested it on other characters, both fast hitters like Charlotta and slow, meaty hitters like Vane with similar results.

A Cag main here. Collapse charges faster if you stand still. Improve dodge is good if you want to buffer up her combo for the hard hitting combo finisher when the enemy only have small gaps to attack like proto baha or if you want to buffer the combo while gap closing. During link time you usually have enough cd to just rotate alexandria and doll, no need for pain train. Nice guide though.

This is true, but due to Pain Train being multi-hit, it helps increase Link Time alongside everyone else. It's also quite damaging.

@@asamayomi That is true and perfectly valid, especially if you run supp damage sigil. Knowing that you only need 2 skills to rotate in link time opens up more options for skills though, and I personally run Mehen instead of Pain Train because traps are funny. Could also consider another support skill too, or Disruption for future content. Just knowing about it helps the skill selection be more flexible.

I would like to pint out that pain train scales MUCH Higher than all her other skills, my Cag does 2 mil dmg with pain train consistantly same with her sba. Great Cag guide tho👍

Quick question, you say if we replace any skill, it would be pain train since it's only a "gap closer," but I've seen pain train do more damage than Alexandria and also has a shorter cooldown than Alexandria. Alexandria from my own testing is always capped at 2 hits, whereas pain train at point blank can get 4-5 hit. So, why keep Alexandria? Edit: I see that the only benefit is collapse charging. I haven't counted how long her def down debuff lasts, but it feels long enough that you can charge collapse after a combo without alexandria. I think I've been matched with a lot of careless players who die left and right so I've been forced to carry the res :c

@@TheInverseGentleman After I dropped Alexandria and kept pain train, my overall dps went up massively. Been having a blast running just pain, mimic, res, and phant buff. I think i'm going to take off the res and put alexandria back on because most of the time people are using potion hoarder anyways so they res themselves and it feels like a waste of a slot. If I'm with a group that's died too many times, i think the issue is with the group and less of me needing to carry said res when I need to steal back aggro to buy time for someone else to go assist or something.

You're right, but it was mostly in terms of overall gameplay. Plus it doesn't allow fast collapse charging, so it makes up for it in raw damage and amount of hits to help increase Link Time.

Have you tested if animation canceling and spamming the chainsaws do more damage than colapse spam? In my testing at least i felt like the rotation was smoother doing 2 combos and reaplying the def down on the third -> repeat i'd weave the skills if they were available as a form of anim cancel, just wondering your thoughts on it though! Great video!

Ani canceling the clams/chainsaw feel much better than doing collapse, also provides AOE. Feels they has better dps

@@RijaMo you dodge right after summoning your 2nd chainsaw / doing the second part of the combo and start again. You usually have time to do 3 full combos and have to charge a collapse on the third to not let the debuff fall

I know I'm a few days late but isn't insult to injury only applied on "ailments" as the ability says? I.E. poison, burn, Zeta's unique status ailment, I don't think it applies to enemies in atk/def down state as it's a status reduction not necessarily an "ailment"

Can you confirm that Steady Focus actually works consistently for Cag? I've tested with it a lot before getting to Proud, but it seems that half the time my Cag still flinches at the smallest tap even when charging Collapse (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't) maybe the enemies are hitting on the frames where my Collapse isn't considered a "charged attack" anymore? I'm not really sure, so I decided to replace it with something else in the meantime

I realized this too as a Vaseraga main, I noticed sometimes stout heart would work and other times it wouldn't and I've come to this conclusion, stout heart only works for weak attacks that don't displace you, anything that would essentially knock you off your feet is still going to do so whether it's from a basic enemy or boss. A normal attack that would only hit you and deal some damage and make you flinch out of charging an attack is what stout heart prevents, but any attack from any enemy that would be a guarantee knock down bypasses stout heart. You can test it against the wolf enemy you fight at the beginning of the game, they have a charge attack that always knocks you off your feet, if you have stout heart active it will still knock you off your feet however if you're charging an attack and they hit you with a basic attack, it wont interrupt you with stout heart active.

Do you have any method to unlock all these insane V+ sigils other than transmarvel rerolling? 'Cause I just got to proud but tbh, kinda feeling overwhelmed with all the farming I have to do to min/max. Like, I don't think I'll get the Terminus weapon cause Iam thinking like If you were able to kill Proto Bahamut, you probably already have an insane roster giving how hard Versa Bahamut was solo I killed Versa with lvl 65 Damage Cap + Stinger weapon (The rest is irrelevant I feel) P.S. your videos are insanely comprehensive thank you for helping (asmr voice is a +) :)

You'll get a decent selection of sigils just farming all the Terminus weapons. Other than that, check the quest details for possible sigil drops. A lot of Proud quests have a chance of dropping one particular sigil + a secondary mod so just farm that quest for the ones you need.

Her Stinger is a good choice for more crit-focused setups. Her Ascension is better if you plan on fully awakening it.

Terminus is only a 25% damage increase, its barely better than using Supplementary Sigil or War Elemental. It's not the only way to play. Rose and Phantasma are only giving you boosts because your sigils don't have you at damage cap, making your build lacking.

My non-crits cap due to high enough attack and her permanent defense down. Her buff also provides 30% crit rate, putting her nearly at 100% while it's up, in case she isn't already capping previously.

@@Shad0wmoses It doesn't matter if they're a v-tuber, it matters that they have an avatar on the lower right that covers the little UI that shows which buttons they're pressing when they're trying to explain combos. -_- I'm not referring to a specific person, quite a few people do this.
