the Leclerc tank still has great developments in the making after the XLR version, it is still at the top despite its age!! like the Rafale F5 which will be equipped with a revolutionary radar, the RBE2 XG or TARAMMAA! capable of detecting all stealth planes over 200 km away, as well as very small drones! and in addition, it will be escorted by 1 or more drones that can carry weapons, imagine 5 drones carrying 2 tons of weapons each, that will make 10 tons of bombs or missiles for the 5 drones as well as the 9.5 tons of the Rafale F5, or for a single Rafale, 19.5 tonnes of armament!! not to mention what we can do with these drones!!

comparing the Leclerc with the F5 doesn't make sense, it isn't that old. The Leclerc should be compared with the Rafale since they are from the same era. The F5 is more like the AMX 40 But anyway, yes the leclerc is definitely still at the top of the list and one of the best modern tank in the world

we have not all the specs for the Leclerc Evolution, but for the EMBT, this is what is already "published" by nexter / KMDS : - Hard kill "diamant" system against Lancet and so on - auto-aiming mini turret with 3D sound detection and vertical aiming for fire departures or drones threats - EM protection for directed drones jamming - telescoped ammo with guided shells ( "Katana" ) for NLOS / Top attack, and SHARD piercing ammo compatibility ( probably only available with the 140mm tube for the Taank Katana version, cause it's first designed for 155 tube ) - reliable and battle proven autoloader ( enhancement of the leclerc's one ) - empty / operated turret - drone launcher + anti-tank missile launcher ( MBDA "Akeron" missile , german version will probably have anything similar) - smoke launcher - proximiy EM jamming for IED - switchable tube with the same auto loader : 120 mm to 140 mm in a matter of hour ( claimed to...) - type of shielding not communicated, probably in the best natos standards , no disruptive stuff announced so far - "chameleon" IR and visual dynamic camo, impressive and presented as prototype on the last eurosatory but not on the vehicle displayed itself this year - 27 (!) sensors and IR/visual cameras all around the tank, with data fusion : for the crew the environment is fully visible, including from the sky with the captive drone. On the french version the tank will share the situation awarness with the Scorpion combat-cloud, german version will probably have a not yet communicated similar one

The Leclerc Evo looks really nice, however I don't get this French and German interest for loitering ammo for a tank, it's not it's purpose. The "small" 30mm gun on the Leclerc Evo in contrast is super promising, to me it seems like the best option for close range defense against FPV drones along with an APS.

modern day main battle tanks could seriously do without the fixed co-axial gun, positioned adjacent to the main cannon . . . when you already have a 12.6 MM HMG mounted on the turret that can be remotely operated . . .

the thing is EMTB has a 30mm Burst Autocannon turret that has a Radar to detect and lock on drones or FPV drones even lancet, it also has Trophy Hard Kill Active Protection System. Honorable mention it also has Drone Jammer's.
