Today we are reviewing the Roscoe Caiman Wide Square Toe Boots from Rujo. These things are awesome. The Roscoe's are incredibly comfortable and look outstanding. I don't really have anything bad to say about them. The Cloud Walk Technology insole is great and provides all day comfort. It's hard to believe that they can offer the Rosco at $290. How is durability and ease of cleaning with caiman vs goat? How do these compare to Lucchese boots? I’m not married to any company but want good quality. Cost is not the most important factor,within reason. Thanks.

Caiman is easy to clean and condition with bick exotic or scout exotic cleaner. It sprays on thin and you just rub it in. Simple. I would put Rujos as about the same quality as the 1883 line from Lucchese. They’re not as nice as the more high end Lucchese. I like them a lot. Very good quality and comfort for the money

Love this video. A lot of fun watching you put them to the test. Adds a lot more context though I understand some boots are solely worn for a quick on foot first impression. Im we all wish we could own them all lol. Those finish very nicely and look sharp. I have owned a few pairs of Tecovas and noticed that these look to fit nicer on the instep than my Tecovas square toes did. Excited to see more from Rujos, like the sky diving cowboys!!! ✨🙌🏾✨

I don't own any tecovas but I've tried some on. Construction wise I would say they are similar but I like the insole in the Rujos better. These are finished out REEALLY well.

Thank you! Wow, that is a tough question! Its really hard to narrow it down to just one. They all have so many different features. For all day comfort, Chisos hands down. For traditional construction its the Hondo 2645. Those are about as traditionally made as there is and I love them. I'm really liking these Rujos. I would categorize these as sort of a dress boot? Well made, super comfortable, good price. And then I love my JW Boot Co boots as well because of all the different custom options that you can choose. I know that kind of a cop out answer, but I really don't think I can narrow it down to just one boot.

Funny how they ALL look like Luccheses. Can’t be that many factories there. I bought the new JRC & Sons boots from Cavendars and they’re almost INDISTINGUISHABLE from Lucchese. $250 vs $449 for Mad Dog Goat

I received my first pair today. My first pair of cowboy boots ever. Customer service is outstanding, but the product is very poor quality. I had sliced marks on the side of each boot. The right boot had a deeper slice where if I really pushed, I would’ve poked a hole in it. I cannot recommend this brand. Very cheap. I purchased a Tecovas at my local store and there is such a huge quality of difference between the two brands. The leather was so thin, it was like toilet paper. I was shocked how poor the quality was. I wish I could show you pictures.

You don't look like you're walking naturally at all. I feel the same when wearing boots. They look great but they aren't walking shoes or hiking boots. Don't try to make them something they aren't. They're meant for stirrups. I'm not in stirrups. I'm giving an homage to my family that did ride. I don't make it something it isn't. They look nice though.
