Best season of AHS. Lily Rabe as Sister Mary Eunice is the best villian of every seaon of AHS. Lana and Kit just amazing. How can you go wrong with those three. Francis Conroy could've had a bigger role but that is the only problem I have with this season. Sister Jude is my favourite Jessica Lange character

That's what sucks tho is coven has a lot too, honestly one of the biggest things with ahs is every season just ups the shock factor elements and it really sucks. This season has some of the worst r word scenes but what happens in Coven to both Madison and especially Queenie like messed me up. I'd say out of the first five seasons, Lana and Queenie's traumatic experiences haunt me the most

It’s called American Horror Story…and can we stop with the “r word” nonsense? When you deal in stories of serial killers, blood, guts, mutilation etc I think we can all use the real word of a horrific act. Most serial murders end up having the sexual undertones so the rape scenes are about the most realistic parts of the show.

I get it, it's horror and rape is fucking horrifying but personally I think there comes a point where we aren't making interesting and provocative horror but we're doing torture porn to exploit shock value-- I call that shitty writing

Asylum is absolutely iconic, but some elements make it hard to come back to. Like the Anne Frank plot felt a bit insensitive, using imagery from the holicaust for your spooky campy show just feels gross to me. And by the time we get to the end, everything feels so bleak that its hard to watch. Watching sister Jude whither away in the last few episodes just isnt fun to watch. Lily Rabe is absolutely iconic and terrifying this season, i could watch her being evil all day. Omg the weird alien subplot and the asylum mutant subplots bug me so much. Theres enough going on this season, we dont need that

If it helps, I have seen discussions around the Anne Frank topic and the general consensus by Jewish people in these conversations tends to be that they don't find it harmful and aren't bothered. However, I am not a Jewish person, so I can't weigh in personally. Take this with a grain of salt, as just because someone says that they saw the group in question being okay with it does not mean much.

Having an abusive doctor at an asylum in America post-war be a Nazi isn’t bad, but the inclusion of a real dead girl (who seems to be the only person any gentile ever cares about wrt the holocaust but I digress) and inserting words into her mouth and cheapening the tragedy of her real death by extending her life and then shoving her into an oooo spoooky asylum with aliens and monsters is not chill.

To make the connections between characters, if you still wanted to do so, you could use push pins or stickers and give each character a color and put that color square or something on the picture. You then can just put their color of that pin or sticker on the other pictures to show a connection between them. This can make it still look nice and clean but still shows the connection for you.

I feel a “flop character” is one you’d forget about until you watch the season again. A character shouldn’t have to be in multiple episodes or even multiple scenes to be considered good. If the performance was good, added to the story and doesn’t make a plot hole, I can’t really see how it’s a flop. BUT this is 100% a personal preference thing and I just wanted to offer a different perspective
