The reason Caitlin Clark had the reporters ask Aliyah Boston questions is not because she was upset with boston, its because she was upset with the reporters acting like everyone sitting next to her doesn’t exist. I think Caitlin feels awkward while they are completely ignoring the other player sitting there.

That's where you and everyone else is incorrect, IN SO MANY WAYS. I'll just start with the most important one. THE WNBA, JUST LIKE THE NBA, IS BASED ON UNION CONTRACTUAL HIERARCHY. COACHES MUST ABIDE BY THE CONTRACTUAL HIERARCHY WHEN DOLING OUT PLAYING TIME. This is not high school ball, or college ball. THIS IS PROFFESSIONAL WNBA BASKETBALL WHICH IS STRUCTURED ACCORDING TO UNION RULES. Sides, (EVERY COACH), assigns playing time, and thus team composition, according to contract status. The players with the best contracts status get the most minutes, most shots, most opportunities, PERIOD. All coaches can do is to allocate non-premium minutes to non-premium players. Second, ROOKIES DON'T MATTER, NOT EVEN MS CLARK. Caitlin will have her time, but it's after she matures into a woman, has an adequate team surrounding her, she has actual experience with the league, refs, rules, new players, and time allocations, adequate practice time, and after ALL OF THE TEAM develops a positive team chemistry, and after she advances into her second contract term. ALL OF THOSE THINGS ARE COMPLETELY SEPARATE VARIABLES, BUT THOSE VARIABLES ARRIVE IN THE SAME TIME FRAME, WHICH IS NOT ANYWHERE IN A ROOKIE SEASON. Plus, Sides is brand new at her job, and no coach is qualified to coach Clark because no one has seen anyone like Clark, so many of the maturing variables that are necessary for Clark to improve, also relate to coach sides. Even more? This first season is not just to tank for another top pick, it's also a filter period to see who can, and who wants, to be on Caitlin's team. (I hate to call it "Caitlin's" team, but the fact is that it will be at some point.) Sides has to learn her new position (which is filled with a ton of pressure), as well as figure out (along with management) which current players will fit with Caitlin, and which would be better elsewhere. This means that the first season is partially to clear out the ruffage, but there is no guarantee that the proper pieces can be obtained in just one off-season, and even if they were, it still could take a few seasons for them to gel. You people who are stupid and are expecting too much from Clark and the situation too soon, are actually more distracting to Clark than the Clark haters. If you don't enjoy the games, don't watch. If you want to follow Clark for half a season, just move on. If you want to follow Clark's CAREER, THEN CHILL OUT AN LET THE GIRL GROW AND MATURE. IT'S GOING TO BE A 15 YEAR RIDE. No rookie has ever dominated in the way you stupid people expect Clark AND HER LOTTERY LEVEL TEAM to perform from day one. It's your dumm, unrealistic, expectations that is piling unnecessary pressure onto Clark. Learn the subject matter, be patient, or just move on to something else.

This team lacks leadership from the coaching standpoint and needs it desperately. It's the only way that the players are going to work together as a team, with a coach that has that expectation and is going to plan a team game that Sides appears incapable of bringing to this group. Sides' substitutions are mystifying and her game plan isn't utilizing the talent on her roster correctly. Lots of platitudes and not enough planning.

Coaching is the biggest problem, but some of her teammates are not helping either. Mitchell plays hero ball and refuses Tobias’s to CC, Wheeler sucks but surprisingly had an ok game tonight, Wallace should not be starting.l, and Smith is checked out, getting cooked. @@rociojuarez510 absolutely. Her "teammates," and I use that term lightly, need to stop dribbling in circles while freezing her out only to blow layups. They also need to keep their heads on a swivel and keep their hands up, be ready for her passes. Now, don't get me wrong, as some of her turnovers last night were definitely very iffy, her fault, trying to thread the needle too finely. But I think some of the 50/50 passes in that game were a result of desperation on CCs part. She's trying to do too much because her teammates aren't doing enough.

I would at the very least help her up and make sure the other team learned not to do that again and NOT by hitting someone in the head. Thanks to all of the other players including her teammates ordering this BS, they should be grateful people are watching women and it's not because of them or big mouth Reese who gets away with everything has since college. If she didn't have that special whistle (her term) she wouldn't be playing because she is terrible. CC's so called coach and I use that term loosely doesn't even protect her and she isn't letting her be herself. It sounds like CC would be very comfortable with a coach having that attitude. I don't see the other players on the Storm objecting to it either. Yeah unfortunately it's pretty clear Caitlin Clark is definitely frustrated. Being that she's only 22 years old I'm concerned with all the pressure from the media asking more than expected. I fear one day she'll harmed herself or just step away from the WNBA for a while. She needs to take some time to compartmentalize. But that scene showing Caitlin not taking part in the teams pep rally, shows complete and utter dissension amongst the whole entire team. If it hasn't already you might here there was a huge altercation that ensued in the locker room. Depression, anxiety and frustration is no joke! That's definitely what we see here.

I agree. I remember Michael Jordan had his highest scoring percentage ever at 37.plus/game during his early years because he had no choice. So did Kobe when his teammates sucked he did not want to pass the ball and just loaded his stat line. CC is too nice. She has to go on a beast mode and focus only on the things she can control which is her abilities to score. She can not control her coach's questionable decisions and her motives, she can not control Mitchell's game not passing her the ball, she can not control whether they lose or win the game. She can only control what she does on the floor. Take 20 shots a game. Be the scoring champion as a rookie. The team is toxic in many levels. The owner of the Indiana Fever will lose CC and it will be its biggest mistake ever. Or not because either the are not ready to become an elite team and turns the market of the franchise in competition with the biggest markets like NY, LA, LV, CHC or they rather continue to be a mediocre team at least they feel comfortable that way in a small market like Indiana somewhere in the midwest.

The team stunk mostly due to 22 turnovers. Like CC said, it's hard to have fun or smile during games like this. Her frustration broke through more in this press conference than in any I've seen. As you said, "she's been....", and I agree. This game may have been her breaking point. Temi played well and I'm so glad she's back, but the Fever just can't defend bigs well. Boston, Smith and Temi look physical enough to do it, but they get dominated when there is one aggressive big on the opposing team. I think they should double team that player and take their chances on giving up a shot from the perimeter, or they'll get run over in the paint like they did in the last Sky game. I only saw them do that once in that game and it resulted in a steal.

Honestly ... the best thing possible at this point would be for Caitlin to tell her erstwhile head coach that she is taking over control of this team, and that everyone who doesn't get with the new program, including Sides AND Dunn, are going to be purged. Straight up, tell her/them to go ahead and cut her if they want, her WNBA salary is peanuts to her growing endorsememt deals, and she'll be on the open market with any other team the moment the cut happens. Seriously, what would once have been insanely selfish behavior is the only sane response to this greater insanity. Most of her team (Boston is a noble exception) simply does not know how to play fundamentally excellent basketball, and Caitlin does. She lobs full court passes right into teammates' hands. She dribbles at a full run down the court pulling a triple team onto her and tosses behind the back masterwork passes to ... teammates who instantly fumble it. She keeps on lasering passes to girls alone in the paint ... who miss layups from two feet away. She just shot 44% ... on only nine attempts, due to teammates refusing to pass to her, by FAR the best shooter on the team, when she somehow, some way made herself wide open. The opposing team just spent an entire game trying to double and triple team her, leaving others wide open all night, and undermining all their own psychotic bullshit that she's not a good player (bad players don't get double teamed; period). She is drawing sellout crowds in opposing stadiums that have literally never had sellouts for women's basketball before. Enough. Freakin'. ENOUGH. Walk into their offices, tell them she's now The Boss, or she walks and tells the whole world that can't see the blindingly obvious exactly why. And if the whole WNBA hates her, she can literally go to a competitor league. And first order of business: hey Celeste? Hey, yeah, great to talk to you. Listen, there's just been a slight personnel adjustment at the top, and the new leadership totally wants you back. ... Go ahead and laugh at this whole idea, haters. How many comments do you see by people who say they never gave a rat's about the WNBA until Clark? She should absolutely go on the offensive, she holds all the cards. EDIT: Second order of business: Okay, enough, ask my teammates things. What things? Anything, I don't care, just treat them as though they exist, starting now. Refuse and I never answer another question you ask for at least a year.

AB should have stepped up and helped CC during the press conference. However, she dropped the ball as she has done dropping her “dime” passes. I am very disappointed with AB’s lack of support.

This is one of the most biased reports I have ever heard. I perceived Caitlyn trying to get the press involved with Boston.

I think Caitlin wanted the press to stop ignoring her teammate. Trying to share the spotlight with Aliyah. But this time, I don't think Aliyah wanted the spotlight because she had a poor game and probably didn't want to face questions about it. And the jerks in the media didn't ask Aliyah to comment in her conference player of the week recognition.

@@Rob_Cash71 They got lucky Phoenix should have blew them out but thanks to Mitchell they won. I don’t get why you weirdos keep giving all the credit to Clark when the other players deserve credit! You better thank Mitchell because if she wouldn’t have hit critical shots they would of lost. You need to worry about the Aces dog walking the Fever today! Aja about to light them up today!

There are problems. Mitchell playing as she is the team; wheller not a player; CC giving up the ball too early. and never getting it back.

It is so dam time to get a better coach. This team has no defensive plan. It's stunning to watch.

In the UK they are allocated how many questions to each star for just this reason. I feel so sorry for these girls having somebody like Sides.

I knew it was just a matter of time when Caitlin's frustrations would come to the surface. They're putting too much pressure on her. It's turning into a circus. Caitlin Clark's personality and character is not suitable for the WNBA. She just doesn't fit in.

Her Cult fans and the media put the pressure on Clark saying she's the greatest that ever played when she haven't shown nothing in the Wnba. They got mad at Taurasi when she spoke the truth about Clark coming to the Wnba. Clark best games are against the sorry teams in the league but the teams that are good that plays defense Clark is a no show.

Kudos to CC for recognizing they have not asked Aliyah a question. That is the media’s fault. Aliyah feels slighted I am sure.

Can they not talk without a cheat sheet. The whole time the coach is looking down while talking. Loser.
