"A new study of the economics of college sports found that affluent White students are profiting off the labor of poor Black students. The study from the National Bureau of Economic Research, published August 31, analyzed revenue data for all 65 athletic departments in the Power Five conferences, home to the NCAA’s top Division I men’s football and basketball programs, from 2006 to 2019. The researchers also collected data from student rosters across all sports in those departments in 2018, including data on the players’ ethnicity and hometowns. The report found that the money generated by football and basketball programs - whose majority of players are Black - pays for the salaries of coaches and administrators, is used to upgrade facilities the teams use, and finances non-revenue sports played mostly by affluent White student athletes." www.cnn.com/2020/09/08/us/ncaa-student-athletes-equal-pay-trnd/index.html

The Dallas Wings even had a packed game for the preseason contest against the Fever. “So far this season, games featuring Caitlin Clark have accounted for over ONE THIRD of the WNBA’s entire TV ad revenue. yeah thats why she yells at her coach and trash talks? delusional

White women have no reason to be hated simply because of their skin color and ability to be who they strive to be... Didn't Doctor King say something like that back in my time, the 1960's ?????

Let me guess everyone else is a thug. That racist comment is usually what follow saying Caitlin and the Iowa girls are classy. I love Caitlin but I am so sick of the racism. People used to hide it in the closet but now they are out parading it on the front porch for everyone to see.

@@littv1610shes well known for her trash talking. Just look at her college days. These folks are very delusional!

@@littv1610 I think the difference is that she doesn't talk shit outside of the lines. Everything that she does outside of the game itself is pure class. While other WNBA players are throwing shade, exposing their jealousy and racism in press conferences, she just keeps saying the right things and playing hard.

These women should be ashamed of their pettiness and Swopes lies. Shame on them.

I saw a comment that hit the nail on the head "Caitlin Clark doesn't need the WNBA, the WNBA needs Caitlin Clark" How many WNBA games were sold out before she was drafted??

She should go where she is appreciated, maybe head over to WNBL in Australia and make them rich!

I find it quite amazing that a Brit who does not even like basketball, has been watching the growing issues regarding Caitlin Clark with such interest. I guess I just love seeing her win time and time again over her ignorant and bigoted detractors. Go Caitlin, all power to you!

I'm a Brit too but have been a fan of the NBA since the early 90's (I'm 46). I think it's a disgrace how CC is treated by her own teammates, nevermind her opponents. They need to realise CC is the best thing to happen to the game for years.

@@westie420uk Haha, I am 66 and still very much into the two sports I played when young, cricket and rugby. Basketball, baseball and American football, are all very strange sports to me, yet I do understand the pull they have on Americans. They are essentially your sports, competitive and exciting, so each to his own I guess. But yes, CC is unfairly treated because she is so good and white. That should not be allowed according the wokies. Disgusting!
@gandydancer97107 ай бұрын
@@The-Saxon I want to acknowledge your insight. I loved NBA basketball long ago because that was the game I myself tried to play, albeit never at a high level. But I am much less of a fan now due to the ways in which the NBA game has now, IMHO, devolved.

@@gandydancer9710 Just like the woke world that appears to drive it, it is sinking into a ludicrous state of stupidity. I have no idea how to stop the rot, but it has to happen sooner or later.
