Exactly! The commissioner knew the fever was going out before the game 2 even started. That’s the only reason why she would call Caitlin while they were getting ready for the game to let her know she won the ROTY award. Otherwise she would’ve waited till the end of the game. The refs were the insurers of the fever losing game 2.

What's the worse the disappointment is that no player from the WNBA other than fever team, congratulated Caitlin (like Sofie Cunningham, Sabtou Sabally) those that seemed to like her. The NBA rookie of the year was congratulated by many outside of his team in a heartfelt way. Engelbutt didn't have the nuts to other than call Caitlin on the phone. That's cold!

We don't just want to see Caitlin play next year we want to see the league give her a level playing field. Nike isn't putting out a CC shoe. They are putting out a complete CC LINE (shoes, clothing, etc...). Even they didn't expect her to blow up like she did so they upped their design & production to capitalize on all that heat she brought to the league.
