I am trying to help CC out. CC needs to understand math. She gains a point for an assist in the calculation of the WNBA efficiency rating. She loses a point for a turnover. So, she gets no credit for her 7 assists because she had 7 turnovers. So, her efficiency rating actually dropped further behind Angel on the WNBA website. She was tied with Boston going into tonight's game. However, Boston was extremely efficient and moved ahead of CC. So, CC is not even the best player on her team. When you turn the ball over you reduce your team's number of shots at the basket for the game. You are hurting the team. That should not be that hard to understand even for somebody that went to the University of Iowa (just kidding). If you keep wiping out your assists with turnovers you will end up having to put up monster points each game to prevent falling even further behind Angel in the WNBA efficiency rating. Angel didn't even play tonight and increased her efficiency rating lead over CC. CC shot 50 percent tonight and still lost ground to Angel in the WNBA efficiency rating. CC better start believing that 'all turnovers matter'. Angel should send CC a thank you note for making Angel's life easier with all the turnovers And ESPN is a joke. They conveniently did not mention the historic turnovers that CC is committing. That was intentional. That does not fit the agenda. Unfortunately for those with an agenda, the WNBA efficiency rating does not care about anyone's agenda or feelings. It just coldly calculates what took place each night. In each ones last game, CC has net zero assists. Angel had net one assists. I guess ESPN does not think that sounds as exciting. I guess misleading the public (including aspiring little basketball players) is better for ratings. But hey, at least the people in these comments are not fooled as easily by the slight of hand and don’t allow personal agendas and their love for a particular player distort the truth.

Christopher, Greatly Appreciate your expansive analytical response and expressing efficiency stats to back up the factual information. I don't do analytics, and I express that frequently within my years reporting on NFL games. You must pass the eye test and be able to play situational basketball in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark vs Angel Reese for Rookie of the Year in my opinion it's not even close. Clarks working on "MVP" of the "W" and it's rightfully deserved, in which, she's turned the team around and we all remember lost 20 in a row last year. The turnovers looking at stats on ESPN doesn't pass the eye test in game of basketball, only because the Fever players have never played with her type of vision and anticipation. Reese double-double is outstanding work, but honestly you could game-plan and offset that out of the game very easily. As far as being the best basketball player on the Indiana Fever Team is a stretch response. The Fever "Best Players" were on the team last year and didn't have the same results and success.

If Caitlin wanted to stop the turnovers all she has to do is be a ball hog and stop passing the ball. If Caitlin was just interested in her statistics all she has to do is shoot 20-22 times a game and not pass so much. That would greatly increase her point average and lower her turnover rate but it would not build a winning team. Clark is one of the most unselfish players in the WNBA and her fans understand that. Your analysis is statistical garbage. We can all see the effect that CC brings to the Fever. What change has Reese brought to the Sky? Not much.

Bruhhh. The point of a game is to win it. The role of the point guard is to facilitate offense by passing annd getting open shots. Avoiding turnovers isn’t the main thing. Winning games is.

lol, I see you posting this exact same comment around on different channels. It's not a good take, and you're about half as clever as you think you are. I just watched video of Angel double dribbling and traveling four times in the course of eight seconds. Clark is the the fastest rookie in WNBA history to total 200 points, 75 rebounds, and 75 assists. Clark is now the fastest player in WNBA history to score over 250 points and 100 assists. Did Angel do that? No. Does Angle even the skills to do something like that? Of course not. Clark's basketball I.Q. surpasses Reese's 10 fold. I don't hate on Angel, but either you're blindly in love with her, or everything's about color. Do better.
