Facts about Kiss of Life : Natty (Thai) was a JYP trainee for a very long time, she even participated in Sixteen (the show to form twice), she's the main dancer of the group. Belle (Korean-American) was a songwriter for SM, she's a really great vocalist and she also produced songs like Unforgiven for LeSserafim, she's the Main vocal of the group. Julie (Korean-American) was a Blacklabel (YG label) trainee for 3 years and is a really good rapper, she's the Leader and Main rapper of the group. Haneul (Korean) is the member with the least training time but she's already so talented, she composed Bye My Neverland, she's the Lead vocalist and Maknae of the group.

Julie said in an interview that the lore of their debut kinda matched a lot the way they actually came together as a group. Each one of them ex-trainees from big companies that they didn't make it to the debut, with different backgrounds and stuff and coming together in the right moment to debut as Kiss Of Life and being very well matches to one another in their differences. I love that.

Natty, the main dancer, has had a very rough go as a trainee for a while, she went on sixteen (the show that formed twice) and made it to the finale at only 13, then went on idol school a few years later, the show that formed fromis 9, was rigged out of the final lineup, then made a solo debut, disappeared for 3 years, and now she's here! I've been following her for a long time and it's really cool to finally see her in a group. She's a crazy performer, I mean she beat momo on sixteen twice when she was 13. That's a feat in itself.

This girl group is truly amazing and one-of-a-kind! Their debut music video revealed some VERY👀important information about their upcoming comeback. The title of their comeback is "BORN TO BE XX" and their fandom name is "KISSY". If you watch this video at 36:25 (or 1:19 in the actual music video), you can spot the title of their comeback on the bathroom door. The tracklist is also displayed on paper on the walls at the same time stamp for this video (or 1:23 in the actual music video) the paper includes five songs: "Kissy", "XX", "Messy", "Born To Be XX", and "Red Bird". I'm really impressed with how well they planned everything! 💋💕BORN TO BE XX NOVEMBER!

She says she's got 1,000s of songs unreleased, things she has worked on with many different producers. By far the best 5th gen girl group to debut and it's not even close imo. Their concept is mature and the age range is perfect for me. Belle is probably my bias because I usually gravitate towards the vocalist in groups, like do you hear those vocals?!?! Natty and Julie are in a tie for being my bias wrecker. Haneul is cute and I see so much potential in her.

I almost missed this group too. But then I found out about the members of the group and realized that I can't miss the debut of such a group. I remember Natty from Sixteen (the show where Twice was made), and she was good there, but too young. And Belle participated in writing songs for Miyeon (g-Idle), LeSserafim and Purple kiss. My weakness is when composers/lyricists/songwriters become artists themselves.

Personally, KOL is a new generation girl group that I’m looking forward to their next move the most. The label really put so much effort on the production from the start, so I’m really glad for the girls for their debut, especially Natty. i love kiss of life so much thank you for reacting to them! all of the members are above the age of 18 which is definitely refreshing with how much younger idols seem to be getting. i’ve seen other comments talk about the members, but i want to highlight that the group’s creative director is lee haein, a former contestant on survival shows produce 101 and idol school (natty was also on idol school so they were already friends, but now she’s friends with the whole group)! I’d say she’s the secret ingredient behind the amazing debut of kiss of life, and i trust her with whatever direction the group goes. haein talks about how they wanted to allow the members the freedom to have the debut they want to have, so their solo songs are definitely a reflection of their own music styles and the concept is something they all wanted! if you were to react to any of their other content, i would highly recommend the two part mini documentary on the behind the scenes of them filming these mv’s in hungary! you can really feel the appreciation between the girls and the staff and it’s just really sweet. fun fact, belle wrote and produced countdown when she was in high school and it was originally written in english!! she was already a songwriter at sm, but the other members also had a hand in the production and writing of bye my neverland and shhh and they talk a little bit about doing a song camp together in the documentary. i’m happy to see people loving them so much, look forward to their next comeback in november!

A few behind the scenes: The end of Natty's Sugarcoat MV is Juie's Kitty Cat. Julie is also in the car with her friends when Natty is dancing in the middle of the mini plaza. She also participated in thr choreography for Sugarcoat. Belle's acting in her Countdown MV was all improv. There was only one line she was given. I think it was "Why are you doing this to me?!" She's also watching Sky (Haneul)'s viral video. Belle wrote Countdown when she was in highschool. Julie really did sprain her ankle while filming her Kitty Cat MV. The scene where Natty jumps onto stage during the audition and falls (in Bye My Neverland MV and Shhh MV) was filmed several times over because she fell too elegantly. The staff was commenting how she made it like a dance move rather than an actual fall. Also, kudos to the stuntwoman who got hit by the car instead of Natty. She was wearing a vest, but she ended up taking it off for the shot because it looked way too bulky and different from Natty's figure. In the Shhh MV, the scene of them dancing together on the audition stage is partially in Natty's POV because she also sprained her ankle while filming that very scene. Also, "Born to be XX" written in the bathroom is their next album. Both Natty and Julie participated in Shhh's choreography, and their choreography group is led by Ali (a few ppl might know him but he was in charge of training JYP trainees once upon a time, idk if he trains them as well rn). KIOF (abbreviation for Kiss of Life) goes over the making of the Music Video and more behind the scene cookies in their Documentary (on the official channel). There's also more on their creative director (Hae-in from Produce 101 Season 1) channel (하이해인). And like Sky with black hair more than blonde. Thank you for all the love for KIOF!

i loveeee watching your reactions, theyre always super insightful and add so many details that i wouldnt have originally noticed ! some bits of the mvs that i noticed and had thoughts on probably a lot of waffle but your vid got me excited sorry 😭 with nattys solo ive heard that it basically tells her story as she was homeless for a while living on couches and busking as she moved to korea from thailand on her own at a very young age to pursue kpop ! people have already mentioned to auditions parallelling her being on sixteen and idol school so im not gonna say anything there in countdown belle seems to be super monitered by her mum, from the food she eats (being forced to eat sad looking greens) to the way she dresses and the music she listens and dances to and her only solace is her room, but even then its not safe since her mum has a secret key and violates her privacy even more. and the dad kinda fits the trope of the passive dad whos supposed to be the nice parent when next to the abusive mother but like.. hes silent when the mums doing too much and being awful so hes kinda as much at fault, no? youre right julies storyline was a lotttt vaguer than the rest so i was a bit confused but i did notice she seemed really disinterested in everything and everyone and kinda partied as a mask for her distaste for everything? not very sure but in bye my neverland it was v interesting having that shot of her in bed w natty tracing her lips thinking thoughts and haneuls storyline also had me feeling like those girls were bullying her 😭😭 like the switch up was insane, its also got another layer that shes the new kid in school and the only minority in that predominantly white area which makes me feel on edge in the interactions :( it felt like after she posted the video everyone was mocking her, especially w how after they filmed the video w her and were hugging her their eyes were solely on their friends recording them's cameras, not at haneul herself? it felt v like social climbers latching onto her for clout while secretly making fun of her like some oddity it felt weird, and setting her up with a super pushy guy also had me sideyeing the school girls 😭 but yeah overall super great storyline and i agree its so well done esp w how they interweave each other into the main narrative ! loved your reaction to it once again love your channel !
