GGBB is actually the title track, Chico Malo was the pre release. And yeah LLL it's supposed to be a song to the fans but it's also a little bit about them. The LLL MV was shot by the two of them during MMM 'mic on tour'. Fun fact: Chico Malo and LLL were co-written by them and GGBB MV was co-directed by Solar. Although they collaborated in the past (w/Promise U and Badda Boom) and released 'Better' last year this was their official debut as MMM+ as they went to the music shows, did promotions and released the single album. They had a lot of fun joking around that they were the new hot 4th gen group and even tho they were given a short time to promote, they did everything by themselves and gave the most to show their love and care to Moomoos.

Also, for anyone wondering, the “3 biggest thieves” in Chico Malo refers to the 3 men who married 3 extremely famous celebrities and whose marriage attracted LOTS of media attention. One is actor Yeon Jung-hoon who married actress Han Ga-in. The second is Rain who married actress Kim Tae-hee. Han Ga-in and Kim Tae-hee are considered to be two of the most beautiful actresses in Korea. The last one, whose marriage is very recent as they got married in October of 2022, is Forestella’s Ko Woorim (if you haven’t listened to them you should cause they’re FANTASTIC) who married figure skater Kim Yuna. Needless to say, Yuna’s popularity is insane (and obviously well deserved) as she’s one of the most popular athletes representing South Korea (and winning the gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics as well as the silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics). So that’s what they’re referring to when they’re saying “the 3 biggest thieves” 😊

Since the song is an equal mix of traditional and contemporary they're probably also referring to the 3 great thieves of the Joseon era, Hong Gildong and two other guys whose names I forget. My guess is that the contemporary 3 biggest thieves got their name from the thieving folk heroes.

@@nicoled1787 Ditto. I also thought Joseon first but now I'm pretty sure they mean both. Besides the double meaning the song & MV also have Solar & Moonbyul as both a Joseon era woman yearning for the lover and a contemporary woman being pissed off and Moonbyul as both the bad guy and the women at different times. Solar switching acting styles between stylized old school melodramatic gestures and modern method acting along with changing her singing style as she morphs between roles is brilliant. And the mirror scene where they appear to be arguing with each other but imo are both playing the contemporary woman yelling at the mirror (a mirror can't argue back) and then immediately switch to Solar as the Joseon woman and Moonbyul as the contemporary woman when they turn away from the mirror (each other) as that scene ends ... that's pure genius and is the kind of thing you usually only see in an avant garde play. Sorry to blab on but all this doubling and multiple levels of acting and meaning turns me on like a bad boy. :)

Yes, Solar actually wrote these lyrics and she talks about in that one video with Pungja (i think, where they just talk and eat and drink) and she mentions how she came to writing it

The traditional instruments used in the song are Gayageum, Daegum, and another sound that sounds like a flute in 3:10 is Solar singing in Gugak style.

Btw way the background vocals you can hear right here 3:10 are all done by Solar ! She learnt the vocal techniques to do that traditional chant ! LLL has been marketed as a fan song but we moos have rejected it, we know it's their song for eachother ! Also I'll be looking forward to the day you dive into mamamoo's personalities, you'll definitely not be disappointed !

I love all the songs and LLL just is too cute T_T . Chico malo was so great. Their concept were kind of like a theatre play since the album is Act 1 Scene 1 (Really hope I'm not butchering the album name) also, nooo! that sucks you can't go to the concert, all of us that can't get to the concert will be cheering them on!

The album title Act 1 Scene 1 is a clue to the theatrical concepts for Chico Malo and GGBB, as are their bows at the end of each video. Chico Malo is filmed like a low budget stage play and GGBB like a musical theatre production. Chico Malo is my favorite because the equal blend of traditional and modern in every aspect of the song and MV (lyrics, instrumentation, set, costumes, props and acting styles) makes it more complex and give you more to think about, besides being more my style musically. I agree that the hip hop dance break was necessary. How I think it reflects the bay boy side of the song is by expressing how a good girl feels when she gets turned on by a bad boy who unleashes her wild side and "sends her to heaven." lol It really sucks that you can't attend a MMM concert. Hope they do come back.

The instrument in chico malo that you were asking about is the gayageum/kayakeum (not sure what the english spelling is meant to be, I only know the word in Korean) which is a Korean zither. The large bamboo flute is a daegeum! I believe they use a couple other traditional instruments in the track that aren't shown in the video but those are the two shown :) Also, the scene at the beginning is called pansori, it's a traditional storytelling art using a drummer and a singer.

I believe the first beautiful instrument of Chico Malo MV is a Guzheng. Tzuyu of Twice can play it But I’m not totally sure

It's actually a Korean zither called a gayageum. Naturally Tzuyu plays a guzheng rather than a gayageum since she's Taiwanese. They're very similar instruments.

These are great songs, Good girl gets with bad boy, they get a divorce and then back together, though LLL is really a fan song. Really amusing is Solar and Moonbyul did their own reaction video to Chico Malo, it is on solarsido. And there are many dance challenge videos for GGBB including Wheein with these two and she calls her self the next member Jung Wheein instead of her stage name Wheein. I would not be surprised to see these songs done by the full group live in concerts.

Mamamoo+ Act1 Scene1 Chico Malo = Bad Boy .... GGBB = Good Girl Bad Boy. And BOTH M/V's have a "theatrical" Theme. "LLL" doesn't have any real connection to the above... Not even a "real" M/V. Appears to be a Bonus for Fans, which I'm NOT complaining about. GGBB has a retro "Grease" sound and look, and Chico Malo having a Korean traditional/Modern mix.
