daniel has dealt with a lot throughout his career. He struggled a lot with hate online, and ended up taking a break for a while due to mental health, during which he wrote paranoia. He also has had many struggles with his company, and eventually after a long legal battle, he eventually left and started his own company.

Daniel is legendary in my opinion. He is the single artist whose music immediately resonated with me especially because I struggle with mental illness as well. Anxiety is on top of the list so Paranoia is one of my favorite songs. It describes what I go through PERFECTLY. Daniel has been through a lot and he's still fighting his battles but I feel like every sinew of his being screams ART and that, in my opinion, is truly beautiful.

Daniel has 1 special album, 3 EPs and 1 full album. What Are U Up To was from his 1st album, Color on Me. 2U was from the 1st of the Color trilogy, Cyan and Who U Are was from 2nd EP of the trilogy, Magenta. Paranoia and Antidote were from his last EP, Yellow. Daniel came into his own as a lyricist with the Yellow album. He wrote all the songs in it and recommends that listeners listen to the songs in that album in the order listed. He expresses really well through his lyrics the depression and anxiety he went through, for which he had to go on hiatus. He recently came back with a full album, The Story. Title track, Upside Down, had adlibs that were so high that Danity (fandom) didn't realize it was him at first. Besides the Upside Down MV, he also released 3 other MVs from that album - Parade, How We Live (ft Sokodomo) and Don't Tell (ft Jessi). There is a performance video of Antidote on the Grammys youtube channel and one of Parade on the Kelly Clarkson Show KZbin channel. Besides, being a singer, lyricist, rapper, dancer, he's also the CEO of his own entertainment company Konnect, MC for Street Woman Fighter, lead actor in Disney+ kdrama, Rookie Cops and a student studying for his Masters degree.

I suddenly laugh when you gave him a grammy award for his Antidote MV because believe it or not Antidote was the song he performed for Grammys Press Play but its a special performance version because he did a special piano prelude and a different ending dance break . I hope you can watch even not for reaction . Daniel did not know his passion for music until he joined a bboy club for his elective and learned dancing . Going into entertainment field as a performer/singer was 1st a job he took to support a family is now a passion that makes him happy whenever he is into the creation of music/stage performances. Paranoia (played first before) Antidote It's a story😭😭😭 The tattoo you wanted to see at the opening of Antidote, you'd see it at the end of Paranoia. It's acting like a poison, slowly killing him from the inside. Those are words he'd been receiving from antis from the beginning(ugly, failure...) Antidote is like looking for the cure for it. Him running for the light is like looking for it, him on top of rooftop is like finally letting it go. Yellow as an album is a masterpiece. Please listen to it. It's lyrically so good and the sounds is so fantastic.

I'm so excited about this episode! Watching you react to Paranoia was amazing - it reminded me of how I felt watching it for the first time. There's so many unsettling visuals in the video - the bedroom being behind bars, the shadowy figures walking around while he's hiding under the table, the eyeball in the woman's mouth, and the second arm coming out of his sleeve to grab his drink glass, for example. Truly a masterpiece! It's one of my favorite kpop songs overall.

"Paranoia" is honestly so relatable to people who struggle with mental health in general. When this dropped, I was severely struggling with panic attacks and agoraphobia, so I would stay in my apartment too afraid to go outside but also rapidly falling into depression from being so isolated. Moving through any around of crowds made me so nervous at first that I'd break down into a panic attack and then feel horrible about myself afterwards. Thankfully, I've overcome that hill and can now go outside once in a while. I have a long way to go until I'm back to "normal" though. I learned that rather fight against the anxiety and panic, I had to embrace it and accept it.

oh my god i recommended kang daniel when you asked for s3 recommendations on twitter so im just so so happy right now 😭 Daniel was actually part of an Mnet survival show, Produce 101 S2, and was ranked 1st overall which made him the center of the (temporary) boy group Wanna One. after their disbandment, his previous company screwed him over with their contract so he filed a lawsuit, which he won. he then built his own company, Konnect Entertainment, to which he is the CEO of currently. since he ranked 1st on that survival show, he has been very popular to the korean public to the point where they even dubbed him the “Nation’s Center”. a lot of attention of course meant a lot of antis trying to bring him down. he was on a temporary hiatus way back december 2019 because of anxiety and depression brought about by this. he shares this experience through his music, as you have watched with Paranoia and Antidote. i’m so glad you decided to add him to your first look series. he’s an amazing singer, dancer, rapper, and a really really genuine person overall. thank you for this! 🤍

Let me be honest with you. I literally crying watching your reaction to Kang Daniel. The way you enjoyed & vibing to "What Are You Up To" and loving "Who U Are" so much, I feel so happy. I was grinning and smiling every time you noticed & praised his beautiful voice, his gorgeous face, his exquisite dance and everything. 2U, Paranoia & Antidote are definitely his top 3 best songs. Thank you for reacting to Kang Daniel. You actually did pronounce his name correctly. He wrote the yellow album to bring awareness to Mental Health. He actually went looking for a certain director for the Paranoia video. He wanted to portray and let people realize what a person goes through when suffering from mental illness.To try and take the stigma away. In Paranoia, the scene when he is on his bed fighting the demon is actually his real life struggle with Sleep Paralysis.I think the director did a wonderful job. It's hard for all of us that struggle daily with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and other mental health issues. It's even harder seeing it depicted like Kang Daniel did in his video. But it is also wonderful to see someone of his stature show his vulnerable side. I'm truly a Danity for life.

Kang Daniel destroyed korean fans during pd101 s.2, he literally was famous like bts and exo member at that time and still now that many years has passed whenever he comes back he is in top3 in popularity ranking. The reason why this guy is so appreciated is because he is one of the few true aces of this generation (nowadays people confuse the word ACE with ALL-ROUNDER and there is a huge difference between them). I saw you stop at the part in paranoia where are some white lettering showing before his back..these are greek letters and as a Greek girl myself I was shocked and proud at the same time when i saw that..Btw those greek letters appear again on his forehead in the last frame where he reveals the left eye 😉So just to help you out with the translation it basically says "Eyes are sword" ..And by that i guess it means that the way you look at something can pretty much say a lot of how u receive and react towards something..Like as a metaphor eyes are sharp like blade and by a quick stare at someone u can pretty much tell a lot..SO yeah..very glad you checked our boy out and im happy u liked his music..Hopefully he can make an appearance again in your channel especially now that he has a new album..If ur in the mood for that ofc 😊💜

He has a song just released on his new comeback with Jessi. Yes, that Jessi. It's called "Don't Tell." There is a music video for it. I love the song. It's such a vibe. I also recommend "Waves" featuring Simon Dominic, who is a fire rapper. Also another great song.

OMG you included Daniel! This is fascinating because I started watching your videos just recently after I randomly got episode 1 of the series in my recommendations. I was thinking it's a pity I didn't discover your channel earlier so I can suggest Daniel but you actually included him, without me having to say it. I'm so happy! I really enjoyed your reaction. It felt like I'm also listening to the songs for the first time. Except for What Are You Up To which is part of his debut album, the other songs you reacted to were part of his color album trilogy. He released 3 mini albums named based on colors in which he wanted to show different sides of himself. Cyan: bright / fun with 2U as title track, Magenta: powerful / sexy with Who U Are as title track, Yellow: dark / personal with Paranoia as pre-release and Antidote as title track. You mentioned the yellow colors in Antidote. They were referencing the song being part of Yellow.
