Actually their producer is Zico. And he and his team producing all three songs. Taesang, Jahen, Wonhak participated in writing the lyrics for the first and third songs. I'm sure we'll be able to hear their songs soon as well. In the meantime, they are learning from cool producers.

I saw them at the Weverse Festival Concert and their live vocals, performance, energy, presence etc. was INSANE. They had only debuted for 11 DAYS and their performance left such a strong impression! One and Only is by far my favorite of their debut songs as well, and for the same reasons you stated: its just got that extra sauce on the beat! Its funky...and that is the exact influence of Zico! I'm sure if you didn't know, you'll have been informed by now, but this group is Zico's debut boy group and they're teeny tiny cute little reflections of Zico himself, I swear! I'm a HUGE Zico fan, and loved Block B, so BoyNextDoor is a breath of fresh air but also just a bit nostalgic. (and yes, Jaehyun is a PROBLEM lol). I hope you continue to keep them on your radar!! While I love all three songs, my favorite is One and Only because it shows so much personality (I mean, how can you deny Woonhak’s smile?!) This was the first group where I instantly couldn’t decide who to bias so I just decided to double bias Jaehyun and Leehan. Jaehyun’s tone is so different and his facials are so expressive (he’s also a great leader that is very in tune to the world). Leehan… the visuals. He just stares at you and it’s like 😱 He’s quiet but quirky. And of course we have brooding Taesan, main dancer Riwoo (high kick hello?!) & Sungho’s voice (and belly cuz they be putting him in crop tops all the time). BOYNEXTDOOR is so refreshing. They are not overproduced and brings back that band feel, which is super prominent in kpop today, like (G)I-DLE’s Allergy & Dreams’ Broken Melodies. I would love to hear their songs with a live band! Needless to say, one of my fave groups of 2023! Thank you for reacting and enjoying them. ❤

i think i'm in the same boat as you - i haven't decided to stan yet (also lack of stanning capacity haha) but I'll definitely keep an eye out for their comebacks! i also love their concept and i think they have so much potential. the unique sound you described that they have, i feel that it is zico's hand in their music. he's quite a unique rapper, especially these days with his bright and quirky sound (you might've heard "any song" which blew up on social media haha). i know this isn't directly related to boynextdoor, but even if it's just in your own time, i feel like you'd have a great time listening to more of zico's music ^^

It's adorable. I don't know if they're something I'll keep replaying over and over, like it's almost too sweet compared to my usual listening, but I am obsessed with the chorus of One and Only. They're absolutely killing the youthful (literal boy next door) concept. I found myself doing the maths and it stung when I realised I have a friend who's teen pregnancy child is the same age as the magnae. That means I'm just about old enough to be his mother.
