It was their 600th episode they were celebrating & the older lady the camera keeps panning to is the subject of this kbs special. I can’t remember her name but she is/was a very popular singer in Korea & everyone performing had to do their rendition of one of her songs & oh boy! did Sohyang do something special & totally unexpected. Just when you think that surely there is nothing left for Sohyang to blow us away with, she comes up with this. The whole arrangement, by Sohyang obv, was amazing & the dancers were amazing, which took my attention but when watching it again I realised that sohyang, although she wasn’t singing, did the musical arrangement for this part too, which is way out of her comfort zone. As you said, sohyang brought the energy, which is amazing because we have to remember that we aren’t talking about some young pop star here, we are talking about a mature woman who was 45yrs old a few days ago (5thApr)!!!!!!!!! She just blows my mind 🤯🤯🤯🤯 Oh!! and she won the show by the way. Another great reaction from you Cait to the queen!!

No problem for a cared modest singer like her even in her late 50s. Following her revelation, persistent workouts, No alcohol, no cigarette, less caffeine, less big chatter, less loud laugh, frequent watering and etc are kept. That's why she's refused a lot of contracts offered from big companies worldwide and is enjoying the least stages except for in the churches worldwide as well.

this was amazing... it had so many intricate details... coming from different places, jazz, R&B, blue, hiphop, combined into one thing faultlessly. only thing slightly bad is too many good things happening one after the other, with no time in between enjoy the each part's taste fully... each every vocal line was so good for different reasons. there's nothing you can remove or asked to be put in... just perfect... and So Hyang's energy is through the roof.

Sohyang has sung hip-hop in churches for 20 years (Hip Hop Hallelujah, Hip Hop Everyone,, etc.) complete with hooting, jumping, running around and dancing, arm waving and all else (also in church but not concert performances of Running in the Sky). She's sung hip-hop alongside many popular Korean rappers (San-E, YDG, HaHa, TAW and others). It's only new to people who've only seen her contest performances like Immortal Songs rather than her regular CCM/gospel work.

Really? I agree that she's got something special but maybe because it was a live performance there were some squeaks and I heard some notes that weren't supposed to be there... unless the original composer put them there... Anyway those notes suck big time because they shouldn't be there. All these aside, I am not able to sing better so I should probably shut up. I reacted only because you said it was an epic performance... which was not.

I never liked the original song nor the original singer singing this song… because the original song was never able to generate any such emotion that Sohyang could for me. It’s like re-listening to the original Bridge over troubled waters by Simon and Garfunkle…. When you re-listen to those old classics then you understand why they didn’t impact you as much when you heard them as a child compared to how it hits you when Sohyang does it. Maybe it’s because Sohyang’s too pretty!?? Whatever the reason, this performance opened my eyes to the beauty of this song and lyrics. Thanks again for your double reaction!❤
