This was actually pretty informative and an interesting peek into that world. Fast forwarding to present day, Cait has stated that she left modeling after she realized that she’d spent years distracted from her initial dream of being an actress. Interesting to actually see her as a young, introspective woman coming to that realization on camera. And now she’s a super successful, crazy talented actress. I’m happy for her that her courage to leave modeling and pursue her real dream paid off. And grateful because I can’t imagine anyone else playing Claire on “Outlander!” She’s perfect.

When I saw Caitriona for the very first time in Ford VS Ferrari, I thought “ …this is the most exquisitely beautiful woman I have EVER seen…” I had no idea who she was or that she had been a successful model. She just struck me as an unusually…naturally beautiful woman with seemingly effortless acting skills. She seems uniquely genuine and unaffected by her beauty and talent.

This made me shed a little tear bc this speaks volumes to us younger women in our 20s. I'm only 20 turning 21 next month and yesterday me and my sister cried about if we where on the right path with school. We've reached a point where being a junior in college feels like forever and we've realized that we don't want to play the society games being that her major is emb and mine is journalism. It's a hard place to be but I'm going to finish and figure out how to do something I love with my degree. It's nice to watch this a know how far Caitriona has came and that life can move in mysterious ways.

@@tania-pw5rw Jesus!! He helped me. I got saved in my senior year and so did my family! I'm now working in ministry on insta and starting a podcast ministry. I used to suffer from depression and anxiety and a porn addiction so this made college hard but after I got saved I was completely delivered by Jesus Christ. So I'm not a journalist anymore but I'm working in media for ministry because God called me to. I did finish college with a BA ( integrative studies and communications and journalism) and now I'm a grad student getting my master's in theology. My advice to you is to seek Jesus Christ and to give your life to Christ and to get a bible and ask him to help you understand his word. I pray that God reveals your purpose to you and that you can experience God Love, Peace, and Joy 💕💕

Id like to see her if she wasn't so stunningly beautiful, see how she coped with average looks. Oh yeah, i'm more than a pretty face, and yes you are, but lret's see how you would get on being average, your looks got you where you are, not some incredible talent, there are literally thousands, nay millions of equally talented women in acting that never get a look in, but Catriona, you are outstandingly stunningly beautiful, thats why you got your shot. Actually no, she didn't get a shot because of her looks. In fact her good looks became an impediment when all she was considered for was "Hot girl no. 1 or 2" but instead of giving up. those decisions emboldened her to try harder. She was already in Drama School when the modeling scout discovered and derailed her acting hopes. After 8 years she simply went back to it until Outlander gave her the biggest shot. Since she's proven over and over that she's a hell of an actress. Critics' accolades, nominations and awards have not stopped coming since 2014 and now she'll have time to do whatever she wants from acting to producing and directing.
