I think its because people one, are jealous of her talent and singing ability. Two, people do not like the fact that at her age she has it, and her success that has come with it. And three, "well to be honest" their is some dang mean folks out there that just do not have anything better to do. @nincho127 I agree. Too many people are so bombarded with autotune processing (thanks to Akon and Kanye) they automatically assume anyone who sounds good is auto tuned all the time. Obviously they don't understand what 'autotuning' is, how it works, or what it was is originally intended for (pitch correction to squeeze/compress commercials into an exact time window). Nor do they understand even really good singers occasionally use some form of pitch transposition.

@kimyaa754 This is indeed her 'real voice'. What you call 'auto-tune' is actually called pitch-shifting or pitch transposition. 'Autotune' is just another pitch transposition algorithm by Antares, but the whole concept was originally done digitally by Eventide (ala H910 Baby harmonizer). The one spot you here as being 'auto-tuned' sounds to me more like a bit of sloppy post production glitch, but the 99.444% of the rest of the song she is singing w/her voice.

wtf Miley. COME TOUR IN THE USA PLZ. Awuh, she forgot/skipped some lyrics in the beginning :P And Miley Cyrus does not lip sync (not here at least). You can tell when they lipsync... here you can hear her voice shake, and differentiate between the studio version and the performance. She's a true performer. She can actually sing very well and in tune live unlike many other people and bands. That girl has true talent. those who disagree so can suck it, cuz, they're wrong :P

The latter implies an inability to hit certain notes (ie: a lack of talent), which is obviously not the case here w/Miley. She hits the same note repeatedly right on the money naturally throughout the song. It puzzled me when I first heard it too because it seemed unnecessary to use it there leading me to think it was just a sloppy post-production "glitch".
