Great job Nancy on telling this emotional story. You are so down to earth. I lost both my parents for so long now, even after all this time, I still miss my parents so much... especially on sunny days when there's no cloud in the sky. There's times when the tears just fall unexpectedly and sometimes I just drive off into the country to cry my heart out by myself. It seems the missing never ends and the emptiness never disappear. Such a good and wonderful story with a twist and turn of Hmong life. I wonder why some Hmong people have this spirit lingering in their family line that passes down each generation? Years ago when my uncle lost his wife at the hospital, my mom and her sister was there. My auntie's face started to turn blue and her facial expression turned angry and her tongue looked like it wanted to burst out. My uncle calmly told her to please don't look like that because she's scaring everyone there and it's not a good look. So her face turned back normal. After her funeral, she did come back to bother my uncle for a while. I was only around 12 years old at that time and I can still remember how frightened my mom felt when she told us about it.
