Thanks for great tutorial. I would have liked to have seen more information on covering the song with all steps. I.e intro/outro and which fills and putting it all together.

Felipe, boa noite.

Maybe it’s my ear, but when you play it the second way, the rhythm is the same but the groove isn’t. I like the second way better. Great work as always

Hi! The notes are written the same but the different hand pattern gives a different dynamic to the groove. Maybe because of that it sounds different to you ;) thanks for the message 🙏

Hi I'm COMPLETELY new to the cajon but this sounds very snare heavy, is it meant to?
@CajonMaster3 жыл бұрын
hi Thomas! welcome to the cajon world :) I like the sound with a "smack" sound in slap tone. I think it gives more attack, of course this is my preference. Which kind of cajon are you playing?

Good tutorial. Thank you for a little history being included. I have a couple questions. First, would you please consider listing the (exact) cajon model played in your videos? Either as a text overlay or even just in the video description? I have one tune I jam to, where I drop into paradiddles with right hand on bass and left on "snare" so it is interesting to see you playing this beat in a similar manner... Second question: Since both versions of this beat sound basically identical, do you see any benefits in playing one way over the other, or is this to show people that you do not have to be stuck with LRLRLRLR? Filipe, check out Roflcopter by Ott. Give it a jam. Very fun tune that can be played a million different ways, including that paradiddle I mentioned.

Hi! Thanks for your message. 1- I always include the cajon model I'm playing in each video but forgot this one 😀I've included now ;) 2- The pattern seems identical but the hand pattern being different changes also the dynamics. I think it can give more space to include different accents. The second example is also good to work the left hand or the non-dominant hand, and you're right to show people a different option than alternating hands. Hope it helps ;) I will check out the song you suggested, thanks for that 🙏 cheers!
