The guy is a legend even here in Scotland. And a shame why modern Cajun bands we hear here tend to be last 12 bar over produced nonsense that lacks that rustic human quality these guys give it. Invaluable for new generations

Wow, am really feeling your comment. I have felt that way for a long time about many genres of music. The original purveyors of blues, country and Cajun sang and played with raw power and passion. I always fall back to the OG folks who never disappoint.

Is there anywhere that this song "Good Times Are Killing Me" can be viewed in full? Nathan played it with heart. It has the quintessential beat and wail of soulful music. Love it. And that little laugh heh hey reminds me of Doug Kershaw, Jimmy C. Newman, JoEl Sonnier - Jole Blon.. Did they pick it up from Nathan or is it just a natural thing?

Nathan Abshire (June 27, 1913 - May 13, 1981) Abshire said prior to his death, "When I die, I wish they would break all my records and not play them anymore. It doesn't feel right for the radios and everyone to keep on playing a musician's music after he's gone."
