Smoked turkey legs is what got me in the game about 15 years ago. Took the family to Universal Studios and kept seeing people walking around with what appeared to be dinosaur legs and ended up getting one and that was all she wrote. I’ve been on my smoking journey ever since. Currently saving up for the Ultra Que. Beautiful machine.

OMW, I am salivating all over my shirt. Brother those Turkey Legs look divine. Man oh Man. I love that smoker and wish I had one just like it. Wow, I can just taste them. I have been wanting a turkey leg for a while now, we missed the Houston Rodeo because I just can't do all that walking around but I wanted to go just to be able to buy a turkey leg. I am sure the cost has gone up to probably $12-$15.00 per turkey leg by now, but just to have one would be nice. What a great video. You know Dorian, you really take your time to teach every little detail to your subscribers and that is so wonderful. I am waiting for my web guy to teach me how to add more videos onto our website so I can put every video of your videos using HMP that I can find. You have made some awesome videos using our products. You know I thank God for the wisdom He gave me on how to make seasoning. When I am mixing up batches of seasoning I have to test each batch to make sure it is as good as the previous batch, even thought I follow precise to the gram formulas, and when I do a taste test and I get that wonderful flavor without all of the salt it just makes me wonder why in the world would anyone buy other products, especially those other seasonings with so much salt in them. God has richly blessed me and I am so thankful and so thankful there are cooks such as yourself who are loving, using and promoting Heaven Made Products. Your customers are really blessed to have you cook their food because you don't cut corners at all from the fuel to the equipment and everything in between. You are the BEST!!!!!

Hey Tyanna, No injection needed because the brine really added moisture and tenderness to the turkey. Enjoy your time in H-Town next month and let me know where you end up going for Texas style BBQ. We are very happy to be back home and I appreciate you as always for supporting the channel. Have a good weekend.

Impressive, those are some large turkey legs. Color was Fabulous, with the brining, and amazing cajun, I'm sure they were flavorful. Ole Hickory, Does nice Job too. What does a turkey leg sell for. I peaked at old videos weber summit almost 5 1/2 years ago.

Hey John. I often go back and check out the earlier videos. Man, it really shows how passion, consistency and commitment can help you get better and better over time. Turkey legs if bought from the store here in Texas are roughly $12 to $15 dollars for a pack of two. I generally sell them for $20 each. Thanks John for being with me since day one! You were definitely one of my 1st subscribers and i will never forget it my friend. Have a great weekend!

Great cook. Im looking at buying a food trailer with a 6ft porch. Would you recommend the Ace mm or what smoker would you recommend to go on a food trailer?
@DskiGrillz Жыл бұрын
I love the ace mm but you are limited to smoking only due to the max temp only reaching 300 degrees. If your okay with that then the ace mm fits the bill. The thermostat features makes it a breeze. If higher temps is what your looking for, I would consider the Lonestar grill. Hope this helps.
@tlmyers4689 Жыл бұрын
@DskiGrillz thank you sir. I will take a look at the Lonestar.

I cannot find the video using the Weber ranch kettle and the slow n sear to smoke a brisket. You speak about it on the wings video. Hope you upload it. Some of us want to cold smoke and was wondering what temperatures you reached with one slow n sear. ( when I say some of us. I mean me!!!!) LOL

Quick question How do you like jealous devil charcoal and do you prefer lump ? Also do you know if you can order or know anyone that makes a bigger charcoal basket for the ole hickory smoker ?
@DskiGrillz Жыл бұрын
Jealous devil is good lump charcoal but I prefer FOGO as my favorite. I do prefer lump charcoal over standard briquettes but you will see me cooking with both depending on the purpose. Honestly, briquettes work better in the ole hickory due t their uniform size. They will rarely fall out of the charcoal basket as a result. Lump imparts better flavor and you end up with less ash at the end of the cook. Hope this helps.

@@DskiGrillz it does help thanks Out of all the smokers I have I get better flavor and results everyone than I do another other smoker. Your thoughts ?
@DskiGrillz Жыл бұрын
@@MrIowahawks77 I’m not understanding the question. Are you asking me which of my smokers are the best overall?
@MrIowahawks77 Жыл бұрын
@@DskiGrillz I mean do you think the ole hickory puts our superior results as far as presentation and flavor ?
@DskiGrillz Жыл бұрын
@@MrIowahawks77 Got it. Yes, it's top 3 in my total arsenals of grills from a flavor and presentation standpoint. What puts it higher up than most is the capacity. What kills it at times is the lack of being able to cook at higher temps. This is a true smoker in every sense of the word being only able to cook at a max of 300 degrees. There is trade offs in each of the grills i own, but the most versatile is still the weber summit charcoal grill. Hope this helps!

@DskiGrillz Жыл бұрын
I bought them at the Albertsons in Cedar Hill on 1382. They were in my freezer for about three months before finally cooking them. I’m not sure if they still have the so I would recommend calling the store and asking before making the trip. Thanks for checking out the video! I wonder if the HEB in Waxahachie has any? Just a thought.
