Hey Mandee just to help you with a little bit of info on the oil drillers thingie. Lol The Drilling Rig is big and tall with different pieces they set up to get the hole drilled and oil or gas out. Them was oil tanks and little horse. They put the horse in the old days to keep pumping the oil out then it goes into tanks. Today they use technology/ computer to pump it out. Then it keeps a more accurate count on everything. Until the truck drivers come pump some out into their tank/trailers. Although you did get the oil driller right as far as he is the boss to the crew working on the drilling rigs. There's 3 different sizes of drilling rigs (single, double, triple) depending on how deep/big the hole to make the wells. Hopefully this gives you more information on it all.. Also THANK You for all your content!! I really enjoy watching all the guys race. Especially since they all have the talent and are great competition to make the racing intense or jyst gap them.! I look forward to being with the channel for the whole season next year..!! I think I'm you all's #1 fan in Oklahoma.!

Kudos to you Mandee for your kind words about those Southern Boys for their efforts to run Modified cars. Another thing. It’s unbelievable the amount of time you guys have to put in just keeping your cars clean….something asphalt teams don’t have to do. I’m definitely enjoying your Louisiana swing, especially now that I’m snow-birding down here in New Orleans. Looking forward to the rest of this Louisiana swing, hope you have better luck in the coming races. AND hope you make this an annual addition to your racing schedule. It’s a nice way to finish the season off. Definitely know you’ll deserve the off season after this Louisiana swing. All the best to you and yours, Topcat 43. 👍🏻❤️🍻😎

Thank you for your comment about our local drivers. Those are some good guys and they put on a good show anytime they are on the schedule. These guys came from all different classes to start this class officially this year and a friend of mine runs the 22 car in this series but he’s not been able to attend any of the races this week. One other thing that hurt these guys this year which most people forget is there were two tracks they were scheduled at that closed midway through the summer and that probably wiped out 5 or 6 of their race dates. Hope you guys are enjoying Louisiana and good luck at The Rev and SuperBee in Chatham.

Hi Mandee. Ed Ryan here again. So, are you enjoying our Southern hospitality? Based upon your reaction in your videos, it certainly looks like you are. Tex-Mex Food, Boudin', and Frito Pies. Wow, you are enjoying the best we have to offer. Lol! I have grown up in Texas eating Frito Pies at every racing or baseball/softball event that I have ever attended or as a parent with my own kids. They are a staple of Concession Stand food in Texas. Lol! I hope you enjoyed it. Good luck with the rest of your & Mike's races here in the South. I'm enjoying the videos. It's great to have you guys down here enjoying our culture and racing at the smaller tracks putting on a great show and competing.

They actually used to run 'skinny cars', which morphed into Limited Mod which is very similar to a smallblock NE mod, but with a wing, in the AR-LA-TX area. Devil's Bowl (TX) used to run them weekly. The ARK-LA-TX track owner Gene Boyter was a modified guy as well. Class died out in the 90's around here but there is still a regional traveling series for them locally. Center steer solid front axle type mods are not new in the area, just died out. Eldon Dotson is one local that folks from the NE might remember meeting in FL a few times 30+ years ago, drove the Blue Max modified for Raymond Beadle. Yes the same guy that raced funny cars and had a NASCAR team. He funded more than a couple motorsports teams of various types.

Everyone learns somewhere. Putting yourself out there with the best of the best, always let’s you learn more about you as a racer and your car. Some people will never learn this unless they’ve been in that situation before or have been apart of a pit crew that is learning every race they become apart of!

I agree about the learning curve, maybe invite the South series guys up north for added experience or meet in the middle somewhere, give them the opportunity to run with the veterans. Your only as good as the guys you run with on a regular basis. A+ to your team for educating the less experienced racers. Give them the time to learn and maybe the next Cajun Swing might be more challenging. With love from the north!

Yes Mandee, you are absolutely right that our Louisiana guys are doing their best with what they have. I don’t think anymore than 2-3 of them even have a big block or small block motor. The Rev should work much better for the package y’all have hammer down old asphalt track with high banking.

If those cars are too slow though they can cause damage to your fast North East cars. Look at Sheppard he got wrecked because of a messy green flag start at Boot Hill. At Ark-La-Tek Friesen and Godown got squished super low in turn 1 by a slower car and Friesens front end smashed turn 1/2 white tire and broke. But hey I hear you on those guys I feel for them they want to join in on the Modified fun and they have every right to do so and I hope the south picks up on them and they get better down there for more competition. I would never make fun of them I just hope things don't get dangerous on the track which Boot Hill looked dangerous.
