Well that wasn’t any good icing just soaked in to the cake ( yes cake was cold) add more cornstarch still went to mash can’t pipe it will not keep it’s shape just turns into a paddle .

You can use this icing for hard treats but not sponge like cake try a piping frosting like mash potatoes or peanut butter
