Mini Rose Flower Cupcake - Piping Technique Tutorial

Hi and welcome back to my kitchen. So this week its all about cupcakes, and I really wanted to create a, pretty, all year round tutorial for this weeks video, which you can use for any celebration or just for fun. I have to admit I am in love with these mini rose flower cupcakes. They are based on my original mini rose cupcake tutorial, but add some new piping techniques to make them look like little individual cupcake bouquets with 3 mini roses, surrounded by white flower buds and finished off with green leaves.

Beautiful!! I know it's a bit more tedious but I prefer to decorate cupcakes versus a huge cake. I also like to put a filling in mine. Mini cupcakes are fun too!! Thanks for sharing!! 💖

Your tutorial de-mystified the process as well as the tips. Stellar, using the glass to hold the bag!! I mean really, how simple, brilliant! And your sweet little buds...I was like where is she going with these silly dark green dots. I don’t remember these silly dots, weren’t they pretty buds? Hi Jules, I am so glad you like it, thank you. Yes for the green I actually mixed a bit of the Wilton leaf green with the Sugarflair extra green. The Wilton green is quite a bright green. x x

Lynz...stunning work, once again! Not only is your work beautiful but you are such an amazing, helpful instructor. Hi Brian, it is similar in style to the 2D piping tip, being the closed star tip, but it is alot smaller. The tip I used in this tutorial is one of the small piping tips that is around 3cm in height. The closed star end is actually alot smaller than the 2d end. I hope this helps.

Hi Gigi, The colours that I used for these cupcakes were the Wilton rose pink and the Wilton green. I find that the Wilton green can be a little bright so you may want to take the brightness down by adding a little bit of leaf green or a darker green. I really hope this helps.
