i just recently got interested in this and tried watching a BUNCH of different people. you have the most elegant and beautiful results, lovely to watch you do the piping, and the designs are beautiful and stunning. your explanations are top notch as well, so simple and easy to understand. i really feel you give everything needed but the actual practice with our own hands. amazing work, amazing contributions to this space, thank you. i also appreciate that you don't waste time, and are very concise. also, that you don't use a bunch of filler words like UHM or ACTUALLY. thank you, MK!

Great tutorial. The demonstration of adding the frosting to the bag by folding most of it on your hand is very helpful, keeping the work area neat and the frosting in the bag instead of the hand.

It's actually pretty easy. The issue most people have is that the first time they attempt to do it is on a finished cake they're making for some special occasion that they are terrified they're going to ruin. Just whip up some whipped cream sometime and practice on the bottom of an upside down cake pan. That way you're not all nervous and jittery and hesitant and you can experiment with different patterns and see what you like and have the confidence that you know exactly what you're doing once you've got an actual cake in front of you ready to decorate.

Oh my Goodness, I love how she explained how to prepare the piping bag in such detail..I have been using piping bags filled with buttercreme to write on birthday cakes. I was never shown how to properly prepare a piping bag, so I would always end up making a huge mess and have dirty hands! This makes much more sense to me..Thank you for explaining this MK!

A tip I was taught is to get some cling wrap and put your cream into a rectangle and wrap it, snip the tip off one corner and put that into your piping bag facing the piping tip. It's a lot neater and easier than trying to stuff it into the bag, but it is also wasteful.
