Alrighty then....here's an update based on something I tried "on a whim" just a moment ago (and minutes after posting my previous comment): I decided to try running the CakeWalk program "As an Administrator" from the Start Menu (Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, latest release/updates as of Dec. 20th 2024). It launched the program...much more quickly than all the previous times over the last couple years. Also, I noticed upon launch and post-UI creation, when I clicked on my commonly used daily-driver template, it resulted in what I'd usually expect, except all the channel strips had a ~2 pixel red bar at the bottom where you'd see the channel number (e.g., 1 through 6, in my case.) Moving forward, I attempted to use my SideShowFX buttons...and sure enough it now works. So the only difference in my latest (successful) action set was to launch the Cakewalk program as an Administrator (i.e., right click on the menu item in the Start Menu and choose the "Run as Administrator" (sic) option in the fly-out menu. Odd, I've never done it this way before...ever. But, it seems to have resolved my issue with the SideShowFX buttons for the CakeWalk MC XL Win package buttons.

Excellent controller, and this video saved me from messing up the installation. A few more companies would do well to follow your example. Many thanks

I know this video was made three years ago, but in the last two days I've found NONE of my SideShowFX buttons (from the Cakewalk package I purchased ~ early last year) work any longer. Today is Friday, Dec. 20th 2024. The only thing that has changed in these last few days is that Cakewalk was updated because it prompted me to do so. In the past, this hasn't been an issue and I've updated Cakewalk when prompted...to no ill effect. Everything kept working. Not so, it seems, with the latest Cakewalk update. Within CakeWalk, it indicates my current/updated/as-of-today version is "2024.12 (Build 125, 64 bit)". I've even gone through the entire process as mentioned in this video to setup the loopMidi (uninstalled/reinstalled) and configuration and other items - straight through the importing of the original Cakewalk package from SideShowFX into a new profile. I've setup the Cakewalk interface exactly as described (which I believe I had done some time ago, successfully), once again. I.e., I've followed all the instructions. Re-setup the virtual MIDI from Treliga(something). I've rebuilt a new profile in StreamDeck's UI. I've recompleted all the steps in the Cakewalk UI itself (per this video's instructions.) A couple days ago it was working. Today, it's not functional whatsoever (for any command, button, function, etc.) The StreamDeck XL works fine...it has other buttons with specific functions unrelated to the SideShowFX package. It's just that none of the SideShowFX packaged buttons/functions have ANY impact on anything within the Cakewalk application itself. Any ideas? I'm at a loss. Cheers.

1. Can I use it as a stream deck mini? 2. I want to use the compressor, eq, and reverb on the microphone while playing a game. Can I turn on/off only the reverb?

Hello, Can I use it as a stream deck mini? Yes and No. Yes the buttons can be copied one at a time to a Streamdeck MINI provided that you can open the Profile for thge XL Version (32 Keys) an option is to use the Streamdeck Mobile App with 4x8 Grid layout. Then copy any Buttons you want to use in your SD Mini. I want to use the compressor, eq, and reverb on the microphone while playing a game. Can I turn on/off only the reverb? The problem with Streamdeck is that it isn't a plug and Play Midi Device although it communicates as Midi Controller via A midi Plugin in the Streamdeck App, when the program isn't in focus some commands will not pass through.
