The feel of the location reminds me of Heidelberg and some of its apartments in the Alt Stadt, esp along the Plock. Most German cities were destroyed in WW2, but not Heidelberg. It maintained its history. BTW, There's an apartment available in Venice for sale for over 1 million Euro. This setting here is much, much nicer. One apartment I lived in in Heidelberg was in the Alt Stadt on a little Gasse called Fischergasse. I loved having all shopping right out the door. Shopping was quick and easy. The furniture and tile in this apartment, do I dare mention, ok, bec I love history, almost has a late 20s modernist Mussolini feel about it. I would touch very little. The furniture belongs in this place. You just mentioned it, lol, at 8:35. Spot on 1920s. Be fun to add some Italian Futurist elements, aka Marinetti post ww1, and Giacomo Balla prints. I belong back in Europe.

Is Scalea or that newer area of Scalea more desirable? I was stunned at the high price. Was expecting about 1/2 that amount. So used to seeing bargains not prices comparable to US prices.

Hi Chris, Yes Scalea is a major tourist destination and these older apartments and houses are more expensive. That said, there are an overabundance of holiday apartments that you can pick up for cheap. It depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.

You said this is a Townhouse, but then mentioned that there were three apartments above Gelato shop? Are you speaking of 4 separate sales?? Location is awesome!! In this large townhouse, the furniture and ceilings, I guess, make this so expensive. Of course, it would not be considered expensive for the states. I like that the tiles are all symmetrical or matching and the furniture real antiques and great shape. Would be happy with only half that space, but in nice shape like that!! Is this sold?

When you say 3 apartments, how do you mean? I see one large apartment (one kitchen) and a large empty semifurnishable attic plus courtyard ona lower level than the flat, and roof terrace, did I miss something? Separate entrances? More kitchens?
