oh welp, this one took quite some time. i experimented with quite a handful textures in this arrangement. (i had like 5 different versions of measure 18 to 33 before finally settling on this one...) however, there are some parts that sort of just came to me naturally. particularly m.34 to 49... kinda proud how that bit turned out. also wtf the tempo just sank into the roof in 0:06, it is supposed to say "moderately fast"

Finding out this song is the origin of the Draedon motif made it one of my favorites, glad to hear it transcribed!

It originates from Catastrophe's Before the Calamity, and has been used multiple times for tracks relating to Draedon! 1:10 into Interstellar Stomper, for example, as Astrum Aureus is Draedon's creation! Pinpin Neon also uses it a LOT for their Draedon tracks, such as Catastrophic Fabrications, their rendition of a final Draedon Theme. Pinpin also has a video going over Catastrophic Fabrications where they discuss some leitmotifs Dokuro left the team before he quit, and this melody was confirmed as the first instance of the Draedon motif!

Magnificent ! I have a little question, I am writing a composition on MuseScore and I need to do exactly the same thing as you did in the right hand (r.h.) between 0:08 & 0:50. I just don’t know how to add those slurs without any notes after. Thank you in advance for your answer !

i used the slur in the lines pallette and manually adjusted it by clicking the slur. it does take a bit of time tho, and it usually messes up when you play around with the spacing. i recommend adding them after you have spruced up everything else in the sheet music.

I have a question. So I've always thought the main melody from this is Yharim's motif. The beginning of the song where the melody is introduced is extremely reminiscent of the scrapped Tyrant, and the melody seems too grand for it to not go deeper. Plus, the melody repeats later which I don't think would happen if Dokuro was planning for it to just be a one-off thing. What do you think?

i don't think the long main melody (i assuming you were referring to the melody starting in measure 18 to 32) is necessarily _the_ yharim theme, but more of a combination of themes for the late game bosses in general. if anything, i find it actually most similar to scal's theme because of the descending figure starting at measure 26 is very similar to descending melody in stained brutal calamity when dokuro sings "your mental fortitude is fading". other than that though, the guitar ostinato is indeed somewhat similar to the one in tyrant so there's that. as for yharim's actual leitmotif, it is actually the one we always thought as the so-called yharon's motif (if you play it on piano, it'll be scale degrees 2 5 8 7 8 7 5 6 or in c major that'll be d g c b c b g a), which was spammed by dm dokuro in infernal catharsis. so yeah because of that people have been calling it as yharon's motif, and that included myself.... until around a month ago when i came across pinpin neon's breakdown video of his placeholder theme for exo mechs. in the video, pinpin neon revealed that dm dokuro left a bunch of midi files for the leitmotifs he used before leaving the calamity mod for good, and this motif we all thought as yharon'e motif was marked as yharim's motif instead. the motif is very prominent in infernal catharsis just because yharon is basically yharim's attack dog. as for yharon's _actual_ motif, it is the "THIS IS MY MESSAGE TO MASTER" and etc from roar of the jungle dragon, since that song is indeed mostly about yharon's thoughts. (though yharim's motif does also serve a purpose in roar of the jungle dragon; as an ostinato in the orchestra accompanying the guitar solo at the end of the track) now this information of the motif actually being yharim's was quite the revelation to me, since i always wondered why the motif appears in all sorts of stuff not related to yharon: the bells in the tale of a cruel world, in like just 2 measures in universal collapse, in the ending synth solo in dog nonstop mix, etc... but now knowing that it is yharim's theme instead of yharon, it makes perfect sense. thank you for coming to my ted talk

@@unnamed_boi Yes, that is the melody I was talking about. I actually do see the previously-thought yharon motif being Yharim's, given its appearance in tale of a cruel world. I knew about the synth solo in nonstop mix (partly thanks to your sheet music lol) but I didn't know about the motif appearing for like two measures prior in the song. I might screw around in FL STUDIO for a bit and try to find it hidden somewhere in the melodies. I feel like depite it not explicitly being Yharim's motif, if/when a yharim track comes out, it would be nice to see its inclusion. It definitely is reminiscent of SCal, and I have actually noted its similarity to the mental fortitude line whilst listening to it. Thanks for the reply btw.
