I agree. I tried to get approved for my newly established LLC no business credit or verifiable business income. I was denied from Chase even though I have personal history. I was advised to apply with my personal credit and was approved by Chase for $20K. I didn't want to go the personal credit route.

@RaceMentally wherever you bank. If they have business banking products (business checking, savings, loans, cards etc), establish a direct deposit with them from your 9to5 job, or whatever consistent income you have. Maintain that activity with them. Get your PERSONAL credit above 700. the fastest way is to eliminate all collections/delinquent accounts. Call the creditors and just tell them you'll pay/settle the debt if they put in writing they'll stop reporting to the 3 credit bureaus. (Even if you pay before you see it in writing, they honor it). And have a credit usage below 20%. If you need more credit, take a couple hundred bucks and open a secured card account. Pay all accounts you have that report on time. Watch that score go up. Above 720 and you'll get whatever you ask for.

This is actually great info.. I started with 3 of the business cards mentioned in the video. The GM card gave me my very first approval and then I got both Chase cards. After those, almost everything else got easier. I'm going to try for the US Bank card next. I'll update here with the results.

Before applying for any business credit card read the fine print. If possible request a copy of the application to know what they are requiring. Once you start an online application your information is captured even if you dont complete or cancel. Second,you need to have your business set up like a credible business. A copy Statement of facts from your Secretary of State,EIN,Dunn and Bradstreet Number,a business telephone number,business checking and savings account and a physical location are a few things you need in place. Building business credit with high limits takes time. You are being denied because you dont look credible to banks and you are watching to many videos that are giving you half of the information you need.

It’s really wild to me that people think because it’s a business credit card it doesn’t rely on your personal credit to obtain it first. No major bank is going to approve you for thousands of dollars in credit just because you have an EIN and LLC. People need to be realistic and stop trying to avoid working on their personal credit. Business credit isn’t a workaround for bad personal credit.

Then you have to fix your personal credit first because no matter how much these people say that you can get credit without working the hard way you have to have good personal credit before you can build business credit unless you first start by organizing your business with the correct credentials like business address phone number ein Duns. It takes time and you can start out with lines of credit with a net 30 payback. When you do that for a while then you can apply for credit cards based on your EIN but even then they're going to look at your personal credit even though it doesn't affect your personal credit. No matter what any of these people say that's what you have to do and it takes time and hard work. The good news is you can build your personal credit and fix anything in the personal credit file that's not good well you get these a vendor accounts like Sam's club or whatever it is. But no one's going to give this to you with an EIN and a fresh LLC. Think about that for a second because why would a bank lend money to someone that's just starting out. If you have home equity you can use your home equity. The whole thing is crazy. So many people doing crazy things in so many false hopes.

How many of these cards require a personal guarantee? Not a good idea! Because, if you’re borrowing money for your business using a credit card that says you’re personally guaranteeing the debt, that means if your business can’t pay back the money it borrowed, you are responsible for paying it back with your own personal money. So, even if the business fails, you're still on the hook for the debt.

It's probably bc of the type of business you have. Check the NAICS and SIC code you used and the bank has on file. They typically use those codes to filter out what they would consider a high risk business. Look up codes that are viewed as safe by banks and pick the one closest to your business. Or start a consulting LLC, banks tend to give higher credit limits to consulting LLC's. If you do want to be able to conduct different types of business activities through your consulting business, just make sure it states in the operating agreement the it can conduct all lawful business.
