FNBO closed my account after having it for 1 year. I never paid late and always stayed under 30%. My limit was $20,000. I also had a business card and they closed it as well. Very upsetting and hurtful to my utilization.

So for big limits I know it sound weird but they want to see usage that $20,000 limit you have they don’t want to see $2000 usage .. if that’s the case why should you have a $20,000 limit ? Just something to sink in good luck

If you are in the garden, take a hit and get a cash advance for 70 percent of the limit 3 business days before the statement date, now pay the balance back on a bill pay 2 business days after the statement date, yes your utilization will rise and the score will crash for a month. So 18k for 5 days at 8.87 interest daily, so about 45 dollars interest is paid to the bank. Now you have a high history on the account in the algorithms. I usually get a bump on my limit within 6 months of doing this. The extortion banks and credit unions will also take the monthly average, so you had a balance of 18k for 2 days and 28 days at zero, so pay an extra twenty dollars in advance, because the 3rd day will have an interest balance because you don't have a grace period anymore.

@@Szn97 No one knows for sure.people have suggested that they can’t raise enough capital to cover insurance cost. Others that haven’t had credit limit cut are having the card randomly declined on large purchases. Doesn’t seem to be universal at this point but enough to be concerning to users.

@@Dr.NickRiviera This is the only reason I haven't applied for this card, cause I don't want another company like FNBO that simply drops your limit by 50%+ on a whim! I get companies want you to use their card, but totally gutting people's CL's makes you wonder why they advertise how they give such generous limits in the first place. Not thinking they're gonna be around for the long haul unfortunately.

It seems the apple trick isn't working anymore. Just checked my TransUnion and i have a hard inquiry. I got the offer then froze my credit then went back and accepted. 3 day later a inquiry shows up. Went to double check and my credit is still frozen.

Hi, do you have any videos on why credit companies approve you for 2 credit cards from the same company but different card numbers? They allow you to open up separate accounts instead of just increasing the credit limit on the card you already have. What's the purpose of this?

I recently tried to get a credit card through my credit Union Wright Patterson. They requested income verification last 2 years tax returns. I work for one company as a delivery driver but have A1099. They originally told me I was approved for 5000. I specifically asked if they used gross income or net and was told gross. Then they contacted me and said after deductions I only make $3000 a year. I make $63000 a year gross. The credit card was ultimately denied. They "d my TransUnion credit score at 651

I just got off the phone with FNBO. I had a question when my 0% ended and has to couple other questions. I mentioned about my credit limit being lowered from 14,000 to 11,000. She told me they didn't do that Experian told them to do that. That sounds kind of weird, but she's supposed to be sending me a letter explaining the reason it was lowered.

FNBO has been totally slashing people's cedit limits as of late. My buddy got his limit cut from 15k to 3k! WTF?? I would recommend to stay FAR away from FNBO

These are the reasons Length of time since account opened. Utilization of existing credit line. Current balance as % of recent balance. Geez, I only had the card 6 months 10K balance on a 14k card. I'll spend 3 to 4,000 on that card a month and make my payments on time. And I wasn't just making the minimum payments. I would make $2,000 payments

Evergreen did not do any type of prequalification it just ran a hard pull and I’m still waiting to Hear what I even qualified for. It says the approval may not be available online for at least 24 hours and it won’t tell me anything

Hi Carl. GM is not increasing already GM card holders converting from Capital One but will approve new card holders with high credit limits and allow credit limit increases as well. Called GM and asked when will the portal will be open for already GM card holders and I was told that GS is not increasing credit limits for GM card holders whose accounts were converted from Capital one and was not sure when that opportunity will be available. Signed on to GS online account and the link is not there to request a credit limit increase. How is that even fair? Oh well.
