Calcasieu River Bass Fishing

Ok I'm from Moss Bluff, I have been fishing around the Westlake bridge and have been struggling very bad. 2 bass in 2 months. I kayak fish. Are the cuts just north of white oak park good to fish?

70paladin2012 I’ve never really had any luck in those cuts. I used to fish a cut just south of white oak park out my kayak a lot and caught a good bit of fish there

70paladin2012 it’s not far from the launch. And yeah it’s been pretty tough the past few weeks but I’m hoping it gets better if the rain would hold up for a while.

Calcasieu River ? Looked it up ... southern Louisiana. I have a really good buddy from up here who married a Cajun gal, they lived up here for about 15 years and then she dragged me down to the bayou. He loves it and he’s never coming back hahaha. The frog is my favorite top water bait but my hookup ratio is terrible.
