you can use fold change only when you compare the two sample, not between or among the parts. Yeah if you want to compare between organs then also use the fold change by taking one as constant or control and other as variant.

Hi Sir, What is the purpose of calculating log2FC if it is not used to determine up or down regulation? How is this data expressed in a graph? Because in a graph what is represented according to articles that I have visited is represented relative fold change.What literature can I read where it explains the calculation of this thing that has been explained as up and down regulation?. Sir, your work is amazing...and clearly explain all...sir can you make a tutorial about blast analysis other than ncbi and phytozome.... Actually i am facing an issue while blasting my query sequence across gossypium arboreum. Phytozome donot have this genome data and ncbi showed zero similarity of my query sequence against arboreum...but i know this is wrong....how can i do this ...plz reply thank you
