Why are we not considering power factor and diversity factor in our calculations??

Great question! A maximum demand calculation is used to provide a perceived load current for an installation. After this value has been ascertained, the design phase for the installation can commence. It is here that cable selection, diversity, voltage drop, Earth fault loop impedance, perspective fault current values, cable de-rating, and power factor considerations are made.
