Thank you for your great video. Since you have a daily data and you need to convert these to monthly data, you should use SUM function within PivotTable and not average.

HI Thank you very much for your useful video. I noticed that there is some difference when you were calculating the monthly rainfall values here. I think it should be a monthly rainfall value, not a monthly daily average value. Each monthly value represents the total rainfall amount for that particular month. If possible please check. Please help me, I do everything like the video but R responds like this: "Calculating the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) at a time scale of 3. Using kernel type 'rectangular', with 0 shift. Fitting the data to a Gamma distribution. Using the ub-pwm parameter fitting method. Checking for missing values (`NA`): all the data must be complete. Because SPI-3 is accumulation period of three months. Hence, the data for the first year starts from March.
