A teacher, teaching parents how the homework is done so that they are able to help their kids with it. It's easy to point the finger at the parents for being dumb or fault the education system but this could also very well mean that adults simply don't utilize this type of math, at all. Just something interesting for you (whoever is reading this) to think about. Yes, it should still be taught and the reason why, is complex. The short answer: We're here to give our youth the tools to find their own path in life.
