Calculation of True dip from one apparent dip and strike - Stereographic Method - English

The apparent dip is usually measured on a vertical face. The true dip and strike of a plane can be determined from one apparent and strike value.
And this apparent dips will lie in the True dip plane
As we measure the dip in a vertical section we plot in a stereonet in the same way as lineation.
And this apparent dip value will coincide in one great circle that has the strike of the plane.
