Thanks for your program, but more straightforward and convenient, if you write the equations in the following form: A×X + B×Y = E C×X + D×Y = F And must to check the determinant is not zero, before you calculate the solution. ...ahh, OK, but this calculator has only 6+1 variables (A, B, C, D, X, Y, M). In this case you can use the variables in this form: A×x + B×y = X C×x + D×y = Y more easy to remember to the "structure".

in this program, seeing "Math error" means that the determinant is zero.

Eric Chiu sorry for the confusion what i meant was the calculator that you are using :) , I am an HP user. it has a function that lets you store formulas and solve for the the unknown variable.Can you do it on fx-50fh, thanks you earned a sub.

no definite answers indeed. This program (simultaneous equations) is a must. Aiming for 5+, maybe "Intersection between line and circle", "4 centres of triangle", "3 points find circle", ... Reference: dsemathinfo.com/recommendedprogram/ Aiming for 2+, maybe "finding angle by cosine formula", "completing the square / finding vertex", "solving cubic equations"

I could only provide a link with the program, but the explanation about the program is in Chinese. webcal.freetzi.com/casio.fx-50FH/simultaneous4.htm If you try it, you have to be careful because you will need to enter the "REG LIN" mode when you edit the program.

I tried, but it did not work, even with the REG Lin mode. I think that must be the model of calculator, mine is a fx3650p.

Does the calculator remain with the programs after you turn it down? Or it erases everything?

The programs remain. Don't worry. =] (Just be careful do not press shift-9-3 EXE, everything will be gone if you do so.)
