At 23:56 we have an equation to be solved for the derivative of the inverse function. It appears that everything after the inverse F' is a calculation of the argument for that inverse derivative function. If thats correct (and this is where I may misunderstand how you solved this), how can we simply divide the final product, the argument, to give us the derivative value of 1/6 when that final argument is 30 & multiplication of an argument of a function, including the derivative function, by a scalar changes the horizontal scale of the function, not its y values when corrected for the scaling.

You misunderstood. It's saying f^(-1)'(5) as in, I'm calculating that value for x=5.

i really enjoyed your exercises. many tutorials on this topic only teach how to juggle, iykwim. yours really tests if i understand the concept. i especially enjoyed having a post-obvious realization while doing your first exercise that i do not need to find an inverse function at all, i can just guess which argument fed to the normal function will give me the argument i would like to solve the inverse function for. very cool. :)

Great content! But you should consider changing the color scheme. Blue in black background is barely visible.

I did change it to white later :) .

Will at some point questions get trickier than q2?
@MathforThought3 жыл бұрын
I doubt it. That was a fairly difficult question.

For question 2, is G’(2)= -1? U didn’t answer the question fully.
