Former IBF Super Middleweight Champion Caleb "Sweethands" Plant scored a knock out against two-time WBC Super Middleweight Champion Anthony "The Dog" Dirrell on the undercard of the Deontay Wilder vs. Robert Helenius pay-per-view at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on October 15, 2022. Though Dirrell landed some good punches, and stayed in the fight for eight full rounds, Plant knocked out Dirrell in the ninth round, bringing Plant's new record to 22-1 (13 KOs).

Dirrell wasn't defensively smart in that moment. He should have took a few steps backwards after his vision had been obscured because there is no telling what's coming next. I am not a Floyd fan but, he is exceptional at thinking ahead by anticipating where his opponent is going to strike. He wouldn't have opened himself up like that.
