I think Caleb knew from the start that Lucy was playing him...it's all in that little "I thought so" smile he gives when she pulls away and he mockingly tells her he's disappointed. I think he just wanted to see how far she would take it...but notice that when it looked like she would continue, he grabbed her arms, pulled her up, and told her he wasn't interested. I think it was all a game to him. He does like to play them. lol
