I do remember being up an alp in Austria around 20 years ago and being amazed to hear an hour long tribute to The Times on local radio. Quality band at the time. Cloud over Liverpool..top drawer. 'andsome...No. Unknown for a reason. We liked them anyway. Mods mods mods.

my favourite version is the one made by Boys About Town (Ed Ball ,Simon Smith,Paul Bevoir and Anthony Meynell) in a radio in San Francisco in 1985 i have the 7"..is fantastic..and what a all star band!

Oh come on! the Teenage Filmstars version was tame in comparison to the This Is London version. And what a great performance!

I've seen them in Neuss at Okie Dokie, it was an afternoon show, later were The Purple Hearts. But I think it wasn't '85, it was a bit later, 86 or 87. Then they were in a big tent in the woods near Ulm, around 1990. And they were in Munich 1984, supported by Stunde X. The Munich gig is on tape, given away with "59to1" fanzine.

You should be right - it sounds like the AA-side of "Patrick McGoohan". The Teenage Filmstars could´ve been bigger then the Personalities - and the Beatles.
