Dumba was one of the "best defenseman on that Wild team" in the playoffs? In the playoffs, Dumba had no goals and 2 assists for +0. His Corsi was 46.5 and -3.8 relative. He had 1 takeaway and 9 giveaways - NINE! The new Minnesota Marijuana laws are not in effect yet, so be careful what you are smoking.

I wouldn't be shocked if Addison were traded this off season but it is a bad move. He's a 22 year old prospect on a team NOWHERE near being a cup contender. Sign and cheap and let him develop. Goligoski and Foligno will be traded for sure.

I mean, you're not wrong. There is a decent amount of upside yet for Addison and I do think he'll improve defensively this summer by staying here. BUT we'll see.

Addison was what we call a "scapegoat". Another "scapeboat" is Billy blaming the buyouts for Dean's failures........"I haven't given him a full NHL roster".....You most certainly have you traded for MoJo Klinger Nyquist & Sunny which are 4 NHL caliber players. "Imagine what 2 additional $7.5M guys would do for this lineup"......Hey Billy, do you even know how the buyouts work? Calen Addison is another example of Dean Evason's failure to groom young talent. Not only does Evason prefer players like himself who had mediocre talent but played rough and hard, but he seams to actively despise players who have offensive skills and try to use them. We get that Addison has to become better defensively, but he can't do that from the either the dog house or the press box.

billyg is gonna make some moves, but when your first decision was to throw out 14 million in cap space, he's now finding that 20 goal scorers arent hiding in the canadian undrafted bush. he's going to need to find some basic skill coaches to skate, hit, shoot.

Calen Addison and Cale Makar are the exact same height. He just needs to put on some muscle. He is not Cale but he is not destined to be a bottom pairing guy bc of his "size". C'mon beauts.

The problem is Dean has too many pets that he throws in instead of playing Developmental players. The Wild need to get a great center to teach centers and wings how to win faceoffs! Let's face it Steel and Hartman are in the mid 40% area at best! These two cannot teach anyone how to win faceoffs!!! Look at how Dallas took Jaimie Benn and made him "grandpa center" to teach the team how to win faceoffs!!! Addison needs to get stronger. As much as people feel Spurgeon is the cat's meow, O don't share that sentiment! We get high slot goals scored on us because Spurgeon allows collapse of blue line, leaving too many screen shots off the rush! We need to teach Addison how to make olays at the blue line. The prior comment is probably why Addison isn't looking to Spurge for pointers! I scream at my television when Spurgeon surrenders the blue line! It is not correct defense play in my book! As far as refereeing, get rid of the damned automatic whistle for icing and go back to who gets there first! That rule is absolute 🦬💩! And get rid of the delay of game for puck shot over glass!
