When do you sell the 4 day? Day before earnings? Day of if earnings after close?

What is the best entry for calendars , pre and post earnings? That is leading up to earnings and right after earnings. What is your recommendation?

Is this interesting for Options on futures, especially mini s&p?? I usually do it, because volatility is huge on options that are on futures close to expiration... so on the opposite, I sell the close expiration call when market is going down.
