Funny truth of the world, when people act pretentious they are often coming from a place of stupidity. Danger zone is a song with two meanings at same time. The obvious one is about fighter jets. The other is about something the incel interviewer will Likely never experience. So, the song slips one past the net of the censors while in a block buster movie. By all measures, pretty clever. This is the reason the composer is Kenny “friggin” Loggins and Calexico is a C list band with music that is forgotten even in the decade that it is played.

So they rewrote the song. At that point not a cover. When rewriting the song they use the melody from the song bad company by bad company in their version. So even their original version of the cover isn't original. Which they probably don't even realize they did since their musical world is most likely smaller than the state of Rhode island and have never heard the song bad company, while that song is quite known by the common person. Hmmmm gotta love hipster bands who are too cool or too good to cover cheesy pop songs, so they " make it their own" so it's pure enough for them as not to taint their musical purity. When in reality they are not even musically inclined enough to cover a"lame pop song" from the 80s.

@@sonofafarmer8414 cool. This video is from 2012. The concept of this A.V. Undercover series is that bands come in the studio and choose a song from a predetermined list. When a band chooses a song, that song is removed from the list. You better go music police every musician that's participated. Most of them played a cover in their style. Oh, the humanity! Calexico has been around for awhile. I promise you that they are well aware of Bad Company's butt rock music. Lucky for you, I don't think Smoke on the Water has been tampered with, yet! Dun-dun-dunnnnnnnn!!!!😱
