Thank you for your videos. I have just found your channel and have been looking at your past videos. They are excellent and I commend the care you give to your calves. I am trying to learn the very best practice in rearing calves. I pour my hot water into my cold first of all and then add in the milk powder last of all and then mix. I wonder if the milk powder hitting the hot water would be detrimental to the enzymes in it? I also wonder about the use of Alamycin LA on every calf. Would you not consider that overuse of antibiotics? Just a question, really. I am just curious. But absolutely great videos and your calves and stock are an absolute credit to you. You are an example to all of how to care for calves and give them individual and meticulous attention. Well done!

Do you clean the calf pens every day? And do you clean them by hand?
@cornishcalves92163 жыл бұрын
The pens get bedded up every day, they get fully cleaned after each calf is weaned and moved into a bigger pen, depending on where the pens are we either do it by hand or take down the front which is very easy and bring the loader in then disinfect ready for the next one

@@cornishcalves9216 40 years ago I raised veal calves. It's nice to see an operation that raises calves professionally as opposed to so many places where calves are just tied to a wall and neglected.
