I visited Calgary for 10 days in August 2023. I walked some of the same places from this video, I found out later that Nose Hill Park is part of a glacial moraine from the last Ice Age. Calgary is a beautiful city!

yep nose hill was one of the first places settled by the native peoples in the area mainly because of its strategic position year round liquid water springs and great hunting, calgary itself was on the bottom of a massive glacial lake , it was all under about 1km of ice at one point and will be again one day but hopefully not to soon :-)
