I love all the bands that complain about Nirvana or something else being the reason they didn’t become huge stars. If you want to be as successful as Nirvana - in the music field, not whatever the f*** passes for music since 1996 - write a whole bunch of really great songs, get really good at your instrument, practice with two or three other super talented people, and practice and practice and practice until you’re really, really good. And even then, you probably still won’t be Nirvana. But at least you will have tried.

@@pandemic7 Ive herd about this story, people would turn their backs to jawbreaker when they played because they were touring with nirvana. Its kinda funny... i mean call it elitism punks. But its still funny. Nirvana was a sellout to the kids. thats it. No ones blaming them for not making them big... People were afraid of jawbreaker becoming mainstream because its not punk. Honestly, nirvana gets a lot of praise. Go ahead and get mad theres people that dont like em. The only difference is that Nirvana hit it big at a time where it broke all records and instantly changed the industry's attitude about small rock bands. Cobain was happy that small bands music was finally taken serious, but embarrassed to death of the prince or rock status the media made him out to be. He just said they were lucky at the right time and looking back there already was a sense that it was going to do 'pretty well'.

and yet most of us want to be high when we die, to block out the pain of cancer or whatever illness plagues us. maybe kurt wanted to block out his own pain before doing himself in for good. it's really stupid when people say things like "no one would ever..." because everyone is different and you can never know what it's like until you've walked in their shoes. never say never. never doubt the relentless novelty of humans. kurt did plenty of things no one else would ever do, like marry Courtney Love. And it's hard to know if anyone left on earth can say what truly happened to kurt, but rampant speculation from keyboard warrior knowitalls only serves to denigrate the poor kid's memory. it's a shame, but it's how he was treated while he was still alive as well. humans are lucky to have received what we did from KC. the music is what we should be memorializing, not the tabloid drama that we only know about from misleading books and articles that all have an agenda- ca$$$$$$$$$$$$$hing in on the brilliant art Cobain made.

@@marcboutin9555 She never "paid" and "sent him to rehab" hours after the body was found. He went to rehab weeks or months later along with others in Kurt's circle including Dylan and Mark Lanegan. He was interviewed by SDP by phone and he returned to Seattle. He even went willingly to Tom Grant's office to be interviewed and to provide the handwriting sample he requested. And Courtney also gave Tom Cali's home address in LA but Tom didn't bother to visit him.

Kurt entrusted his daughter under Cali's care so that should give you an idea of their relationship. They were friends and I have yet to see a shred of evidence, or quotes from the inner circle, suggesting otherwise.

I think Cali knew Kurt was dead before it was announced and if people think he was Kurt's friend while being an ex fuck buddy of Courtney and she was the one who wanted him to watch their child because she was and still is a control freak and got jealous very easily if a female came into Kurt's life like her band mate who also died after Kurt, Cali knew he was dead he left the letter that was found by Tom grant the day before Kurt was found that was a set up and I don't think he killed Kurt but was about and could of known about Kurt for a couple of days or more he was in the house and something is not right about the whole thing like love trying to find Kurt but yet just tried to get a PI to hunt him down but not to go to Seattle till she said it was ok and by time Tom got there I think Kurt was dead and whatever happened to him people knew but wanted to be away from the place till he was found, first Tom grant who didn't know about that greenhouse then an electrician who was hired to fix something in the greenhouse found the body and his boss first called the radio then the cops and that's just the start of a lot of things that were strange and weird, then the quick police "so called" investigation who were led to believe that he committed suicide so did nothing as they were already convinced of this as Courtney love put in a missing person report and said she was his mother saying she thought he would hurt or kill himself so that is an official lie and I could go on all night about the things that are so fucked up about the death of Kurt Cobain.

The police report confirms that Kurt bought shotgun shells on March 30th the morning he left for rehab. When he came back on April 2nd, a Grey Top Taxi driver confirmed with the police that he picked up Kurt from his house where Kurt told the cab driver that he needed to find a place open to buy shotgun shells, as he’d misplaced the other shells. Why else would he want to replace his shotgun shells so quickly after he ditched rehab? Kurt was suicidal and Cali had nothing to do with it. It’s like the other poster said, just cause Cali was there, doesn’t mean he was involved

The main reason I posted it is because these clips of Kurt from the Jawbreaker documentary are previously unseen, and people like to see new KC footage. Also, to show that Cali Dewitt is not in hiding as many people assume and still holds respect among some of Kurt's peers.
