For the people saying that the sub is too loud when set to 80dB or that they cannot even achieve this level. Be sure to set your SPL meter to weighting system Z, otherwise low frequencies are weighted down and the read out is understated for this use-case. Cheers to Adam Audio for exceptional public relations!

Just in case anyone is reading this with a view to buying the T10S to pair with T5V or T7V, I HIGHLY recommend doing so, it pairs excellently. The footswitch is a great addition as you can turn on/off the sub (and the crossover) which is great for late-night mixing. In my opinion, the T5Vs are a better match to the sub than the T7V because the sub is taking care of the low end, there is no need for the larger woofer on the monitor, and the smaller size is better at the mid-range frequencies, so for me, it makes a more balanced 3-way system. Adding the sub will improve the efficiency of the monitors as they no longer have to produce anything under 80hz so they sound clearer in the mids. Oh and also the crossover at 80hz sounds best to me. 120hz sounds too high and makes too much of the frequency range mono. Disabling the crossover makes the sub and monitors both try to work in the same frequency range. This means that if you are to set your sub frequencies at a decent level you end up with a big lump of extra bass from around 40hz to 120hz. Or if you turn the sub down until that lump disappears the sub (20-80hz) frequencies are too low in volume. 80hz just sounds really great.

Thanks for that. I bought a pair of the 5 series. I want this sub but am afraid it may always have to be powered on, even if disabled. Is this true or can I still listen to the monitors without the sub being powered on? I’m not so concerned with the power draw, more so with heat. It gets hot in my room.
@jasonmalcolmgibbins4 жыл бұрын
@@motosporttouring When you don't use for a short while (about 10 mins roughly) the sub goes into standby (the green LED turns red) next time it detects audio passing through, it turns back on. Mine does not get hot at all. But you could always plug it into a switch and manually turn it of at the power source each time? But I would say the standby will be just fine.

Jason Gibbins ok thank you for that. Just ordered the sub. Looking forward to it. The T5V are surprisingly good in the bass dept by themselves. Glad I got these and not the 7’s since I’m doing the sub anyway.

Hey Adam Would a T10S help the T8V ? i somehow loose bass , and i dont wanna EQ my stuff . im now playing with and old 18 inch Master (amate) subwoofer but for studio use thats not good
@ADAMAudioBerlin3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! The T10S allows you to hear frequencies down to 28 Hz. The T8V only goes down to 35 Hz. It also turns a 2-way system (tweeter & woofer) into a 2.1-way system. Because the T8Vs no longer have to play frequencies down to 35 Hz, the mids can also be reproduced more clearly. Your current sub offers no, or at least no tuned crossover. The T10S is perfectly matched to the monitors of the T series and is a perfect complement. Remember, however, that subs are not about hearing the bass louder, but hearing lower frequencies. If you don't hear the bass, it may be due to phase problems and cancellations in your room that need to be addressed with acoustic measures. I hope this was helpful. All the best, Daniel.

My audio interface has monitor left and monitor right. I plug my 2 tv5s into the sub and my left and right out of the sub and into the interface. That radial phazer only has 1 input and 1 output. How did you connect that between the interface and the sub?
@ADAMAudioBerlin8 ай бұрын
Hi @jeffsalvatore7441, Thanks for your question! Connecting the two outputs of the interface with the subwoofer and the T5Vs to the two outputs of the subwoofer is the right way to hook the speakers up. The Radial Engineering Phazer is a mono-device, which you would use as an effect between your instrument and your interface. I hope this answers your question! Adam Audio - Question: I'm sitting in my Dolby Atmos Music Studio 7.4.4 (Keeping in mind the caliber of my studio) and at low levels while listening this sub just goes into sleep mode(Turns off). I have to crank the volume to get it to turn back on. It happen every time. I can't use these at night time because the sub kicks into sleep mode at low audio levels. Any way to disable this sleep mode? Also, If I run my A77H's through the T10s, isn't the T10 cutting bass frequencies that are sent out to the monitors from the subwoofer audio interface? If that is so, That's surely not ideal! If not I'm going to have to return this sub. I don't really hear it much over my Two A77H, Five T7V, & Four T5V. I do though but very little. Side Note: This sub does sound great in my opinion. It does produce great sub frequencies and proper levels for a powered unit. Highly recommended if you want to add a sub to your "T5's & T7's"! Cheers.
@ADAMAudioBerlin11 ай бұрын
Hi LexXxus! Thanks for reaching out! Regarding the sleep mode: It will turn on when a certain threshold of input is not reached over a certain period of time. Unfortunately, this function cannot be disabled. Try increasing the input level, while lowering the output level. By that, the input threshold should be reached constantly and the sleep mode should not activate. To prevent the T10s from cutting bass frequencies from the A77H´s, simply set the crossover-setting on the back of the subwoofer to "bypass". This will send the entire signal of to the A77H´s. However, we would not recommend the T10s as the ideal companion to the A77H. As you have already observed for yourself, the A77H is very powerful, which is why we would recommend a Sub12 if not the Sub15 in combination with the A77H. I hope this helps you out! best regards, Jasper
@LexXxusTVLive11 ай бұрын
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Thanks for the input. If I set the crossover setting to bypass, I get all frequencies pushed through the sub also. i'm thinking of buying 1 of the T-Series, if getting the sub, which combo is best? seems the t5V would benefit most from this sub, AND produce the best MIDS, seems the T8V would benefit the least and produce the "worst" mids? make sense? so with that said, what's the better combo, T5V with this sub or the T7V? :-). TO ADD: the positive of the T7V, is that they can be used standalone, and give you the better bass over the 5". but the T5V saves you $100 which you can use towards that SUB. 🙂 MY SETUP: small home studio, 12'x22', with the speakers firing towards the shorter side at one end of the room

Hi Lee! You are right. The best combo would be matching the T10S Subwoofer with the T5V or T7V. If you go with the T7V, you will have more power though ;)

hello, my adam t10s sub makes weird sound coming from behind bass reflex while playing low frequency a little louder. It sounds like the magnet is having trouble moving the membrane i don't know. Its my first subwoofer so im just here to ask if its normal? Don't want to damage it. Overall sound is big and punchy and it fills the room. Although sometimes when watching movies and there is not much happening in higher frequencies only lows when the room is shaking, you can then clearly hear that noise. Something tells me it should not be like this. If I turn down the volume the problem disappears. It sounds like i can hear the mechanism thats moving the membrane.

The manual says that the 0 mark on the t10s level knob is matched to the 0 marks in the t series monitors. So if everything is set at zero does that mean we don't need a db meter to level match them.
@jasonmalcolmgibbins4 жыл бұрын
That is depending on your room and sub position. So in a perfect room and position then yes they would be matched at 0. However, the sub can sound louder or quieter depending on the position. For example, if it is close to a wall or corner it gets louder. That being said this SPL meter technique did not work at all for me when setting up. The results wanted me to turn up my sub so loud (full on the knob) that it just sounded ridiculous. In the end, I had to set it by ear. I ended with the sub volume at 12 o'clock (roughly 6dB below 0) it sounds pretty flat to me now. I am happy with the sound, but I would like to test how flat it actually is. I might buy a measurement mic and do some testing.
