Calibration of DP Type Level Transmitters for Dry Leg in Open Tank | Electrical & Automation Guru

Differential Pressure Transmitters are 2-wire transmitters. These are loop-powered devices with 4-20mA current loop protocol as the standard. The lower range is 4mA, and the upper range is 20mA. The difference between the lower range and the upper range is called the span of the transmitter. The span requirement of the application pressure range is to be matched to the transmitter span. The transmitter reading is most accurate when it uses most of its span during measurement. Let’s explain this phenomenon with an example

Sir i think you explained wrong... LRV= 40 , URV=200 and Range or span will be =160... And one thing why did you connect impulse tube at low side rather tank is open...so this will be wastage of money
